I expirienced a curious activity while playing several slot machines at a local philly casino

I play the slots at a local philidelphia casino quite often, and on at least 5 or 6 seperate ocassions after I put my card in the machine or even between spins durring my play a small black window popped up with a bunch of numbers and or symbols in it. The window was only up for a brief moment and would disapear, but What I was able to make out at the top was something to the nature of remote configuration. I was very curious but never did anything to question it. Recently however after finding this website I came across a response by the wizard where in it he answered someones question regarding the casinos ability remotely to change slot machine parameters. He mentioned remote servers and the ability to change demoninations, odds percentages, etc. but in it also stated that a machine must be idol 4 minutes before and after such a change and that a machine will reject any request to change if coin is already in the machine. So now I'm really curious, are they tracking me and tweaking my play? can they actually change the machine when I get on like that, could poling the machine like that even be legal to do? would they do it perhaps based on some previous wins and now want it back or is it random that it just so happened to reconfigure the machine at that time. If so Why on 5 or 6 seperate ocassions did I see it? How many others have noticed this? Most importantly what does it mean and should it be brought to the attention of someone and if so who? Boy would I like to know. Are they really adjusting the machine to me and should I perhaps not use my card? Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have this answer for me or some sound advise, after all it is my hard earned dollars going into these machines and possibly yours to if you play there? Thank you

I'm not certain, but what the Wiz said about remote servers being able to change a machine's parameters should apply only to Class II type machines, that are called Electronic Bingo or Video Lottery Terminals (VLT). If you're playing Class III slot machines, like they have in Las Vegas, then none of this can be done to them.

Maybe what you're seeing is your account information being updated, as the session points or accumulated poiints increase?

The comments on remote server updates do apply to class 3 machines in Nevada. I would be surprised if Pennsylvania would allow casino operators to change parameters on a machine while it is in use.

I would ask for the manager, and make an inquiry. Pennsylvania also has the equivalent of a Gaming Control Board that regulates what is allowed on the floor. You can inquire with them too:
