The odds for color bet in European roulette are 1,056 to 1. (or any other even-money bet)
does these odds change if "La partage" rule applies (or any of n imprisonment rules)

If it does changes then what formula to use to calculate these odds?

Thank you.

Why are the odds 1.056:1? If I bet on black, don't I win 18/37ths of the time?

37/18 - 1 = 1.0555...

Isn't this what you both are talking about?

Yeah :)
What is the result if "La partage" applies, or any of Imprisonment rules (double, tripple, infinite etc...)
Does result changes at all, if not why not?

Thank you.

Result P Pays Return (P*Pays)
Win 18/37 1 0.486486
Lose 18/37 -1 -0.486486
Zero 1/37 -0.5 -0.013514
Total 1 -0.013514
That's for La Partage. It gives a house edge -1.35% on even money bets. Single imprisonment is around 1.39%.

WOW thank you guys for your help!!
I was looking for these numbers for a while.

This site and all of you are awesome, fast and accurate replys... great :D

Thanks and cheers!

EDIT:
so this equation is the same when calculating the odds for La partage?:
37/18 - 1 = 1.0555...

or is this one:
37/18.5 - 1 = 1.0

or this one ??:
37/18,25 - 1 = 1.02739726...

which equation is correct?
thanks.

Since all the non-zero results on Roulette balance out, you can shortcut the formula and just use the probability for zero multiplied by the payout. For example, with La Partage the payout on a zero is -0.5 so 1/37 * -0.5 = -1.35%. For ANY bet on a European wheel the payout on zero is -1 and all other payouts balance so every bet has a 1/37 * -1 = -2.7% edge, excepting special rules like La Partage and En Prison.
