There is a new bonus bet on pai gow called bad hand bonus. I am wondering how many combinations there are for this hand. It consists of the hand containing a 2,3,4,5,7,8,9. With no flush and no 6, this is the worst pai gow hand. Can anyone help me with figuring combinations? Showing the math will help.

This is the "Pai Gow Insurance bet" or "Pai Gow Protection bet."
It is a bet that the Pai Gow hand dealt to you has no poker elements (like a pair, a flush, a three of a kind, etc.) - aside from high card singletons.
Different versions of the bet use different pay out tables.

Two variants are available:
Pai Gow insurance, which pays 100:1 on a 9 high (this bet only pays with a Pai Gow -- no pair), and;
Emperor's Challenge, which pays 40:1 on a 9 high (this bet has the same table as Fortune Pai Gow and also pays for J, 10, 9 high)
