Blackjack tournament last hand bet amount...

2500 max bid...
you are up by 2600... first to act
is it better to bet 100 and surrender - forcing your opponent to win a double...

or

bet 2500 and make sure you dont lose and your opponent win... so obv stay with anything above 11... do not bust...

what are the odds of each? what should i bet

I think you're missing a condition. If you bet 2500, there's a case where you'd have to double to win, I think. You'd want to protect yourself if your hand is not pat but your opponent's is. For example:

You: K-2
Opponent: Q-Q
Dealer: 9-X

I'm pretty sure you should at least hit, if not double, your 12 to protect against the situation where you lose and your opponent does not.

I think I'd bet the minimum and surrender in this situation.

I'd consider a surrender trap. Bet $120. Your opponent forgets about the surrender rule, and bets small, let's say $10, thinking he is forcing you to win. You then surrender and lock in a win.

Don't think i would ever want to bust my hand in this situation...

In that case I would bet $100.

After sleeping on this - i think the best bet is 2500...

with a 100 bet you lose on an opponent blackjack, an opponent split win or double win...

with a 2500 bet - you only lose if you lose and opponent wins - any tie and you win...

can a smarter person then me work out the odds of each happening...
