Was in Vegas earlier this week. The following happened within 30 minutes of each other:
Back to back straight flush.
15 minutes later
Back to back straight flush.
So 4 straight flushes in 30 minutes.
Was curious of the odds of a back to back straight flush. 1 in 10000?
Also curious of the odds of getting those 2 events in 30 minutes considering 30-40 hands per hour?

The odds of a 5-card straight flush in a 7-card Pai Gow Poker Hand are approximately 0.00052 or about 1 in 1615.
If you have 5 or 6 players at the table, then the odds of having at least one straight flush by a player are approximately 5x or 6x. So, with 5 players at the table the odds were approximately 1 in 320 per hand.
By the way, the occurrence of 5 consecutive suited cards does not automatically mean that the hand will be arranged as a straight flush in the back hand. If there is a 6th suited card or 6th straight card, the straight flush is sometimes broken up to increase the value of the front hand.

So many better men, a few of them friends, are dead. And a thousand thousand slimy things live on, and so do I.

Correction. It wasn't table back to back. It was myself getting those back to back straight flushes. Was curious of the odds of one person getting them.
Also I thought it was a different odds..
The following table shows the probability of forming any specified poker hand. These probabilities consider all seven cards and without regard to how the player may play the hand.
Five Aces 1,128 0.00000732
Straight/Royal Flush 210,964 0.00136862
Four of a Kind 307,472 0.00199472
Would the % chance of 2 straight flushes in a row be: 0.00136862 * 0.00136862 ?
