Trilux (normally 9 to 1 payout):
Flush: +$15
Straight: +$20
Trips: +$25
Unsuited 777: +$30
Straight Flush: +$40
Fortune Pai Gow:
Flush: (4:1) +$15
Full House: (5:1) +$20
Four of a Kind: (25:1) +$25
Straight Flush: (50:1) +$30
Royal Flush: (125:1) +$40
Does this punch card make it not as bad to play the Trilux or Fortune Bonus side bets? I mean, it pays regardless of the side bet, but is it better/worth while?
Quote: vegaswannabeThere is a local casino that has this punch card promo for Trilux and Fortune Pai Gow Poker where you get a one time bonus listed below:

Maybe everyone except me understands exactly what you mean by "one time punch card". Could you please specify:
Does it pay the bonus once each type of hand, and they punch the card to indicate you collected that one? Or you can only win one of those hands, and you're done collecting the pc bonus for that game? One win only on either game and you're done? Something else?
Do you have to use your player's card to get a punch card? Do they record on your account that you collected each time you win a pc bonus?
Can you get a fresh punch card once an hour? Once a day? Never?
Is there a minimum bet amount (similar to envy bonus on PGP must be $5, even if they allow $1 bet) required to get those bonuses? If so, what is it?
Is there any additional bonus (drawing, bonus money, etc) available if you complete the punch card?
Very interested to hear about how this works. ANY bonus based on the side bet pays, without having to bet additional money, would have to reduce the HE, making it more favorable to you, but I think it's hard to calculate an expected value unless we know more. Thanks.

Hey BBB, at one of my locals (which is probably Wannabe's local since the promo is the same) it's one card per player per promo period. They seem to be running this every other month. Not sure if that'll stop once Trilux is more familiar to players. You can get each type of hand once, and they physically punch to indicate that you've received that payment. You don't have to actually play the bonus, but you do have to play rated using the player's card that corresponds to the punch card. For me, it's not quite worth it. 45 minute drive 1 way to get maaaaybe $70 in 90 minutes of play, minus the expected loss on the actual game. I just can't bring myself to make that drive with any regularity.

So the card has those hands with bonus listed (Trilux on the left Pai Gow on the right). When you get one of those hands on the respective game they punch it so you can't win the bonus again. So you can get a total of $130 in bonus winnings on the games if you manage to get all the hands.

The cards have your name and player card number listed on them and you need to be rated on the table at the time of the win. It seems like they simply punch the card. It didn't seem like they did anything more than that.

It's a one time issue type of thing according to the fine print. I know they've done it in the past for UTH.

This is where I thought it was interesting, nowhere on the card does it say you have to play either the Trilux OR the Pai Gow bonus. Talking to them, it sounds like, they'll punch one Trilux win without the person playing the side bet and then they'll advise them they need to play the bet if they wish to be eligible for the promo moving forward. But no minimum on it. Pai Gow has no restrictions on it as far as they said.

Once the card is done it's done. No additional drawings or prizes from it.

I hope that sheds more light on it. It seems like just playing $1 on the Trilux would be (I struggle to use the word without some maths but) "advantageous" to a certain point. The fine print also goes into the whole thing about management reserves the right to change or cancel the promotion so it can obviously change if a situation arose that they didn't like.
