Hell Wiz
I am trying to calculate the house edge on an unusual bet I discovered on a Carnival cruise single zero roulette table.
This bet was in a box next to Red, "Even+Red Pays 3-1 and 0 pays 1-1"
There are 8 out of 36 numbers that are Red and even. How best to calculate,
I have been gambling around the world for 30 years and have never encountered this. Have you encountered this one.

How best to calculate,

I give this a try

I use a table in Excel.
may not be the best way but fast and works for me

looks to be -3/37 (house edge)
about -0.081081081 or
about -8.1%

I think I saw that bet before too...
By the time I play Roulette on a boat, I am floating
feels good and is fun (except in the early morning)

did you play it and win?

Yeah your calculation methods look good, except your heading for column C should be A/B.

Seems like a dumb / uninteresting bet.

Casnival Cruise should look into my side bet: http://www.Poker-for-Roulette.com

Similar edge, but far more fun.
