Hi all I recently moved to Melbourne and I have some question regarding the house edge here.
So the blackjack has some specific rule other than the normal bj in Vegas:
If a player get 21 (other than bj), initial wager is paid immediately.
If the dealer gets 22, it's a stand-off: meaning everyone has a push.
Player can double down on any 2 or 3 cards.
If a player gets 5 cards, the initial wager is paid immediately.
If the dealer shows an Ace, he doesn't look at his 2nd card immediately (because there isn't one!). His second card will be dealt after all player finish their moves.
As usual, dealer stands on soft 17 and hit on 16; bj pays 3 to 2. So regarding all of these special rule here, what is the house edge?
Good luck on the table

If the dealer gets a blackjack after a player has doubled.or split, does he lose his.original bet only, or his doubled/split bet as well?
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I'm guessing if it's Melbourne then the casino is The Crown and the game is Blackjack Plus (p54 rule 22 of https://www.crownmelbourne.com.au/getmedia/390b4534-d94a-4c1d-a189-812b0afdab0f/Crown-Melbourne-Gaming-Blackjack-Rules_1.pdf.aspx ). BJ's, 21's and 5-card Charlies win before the dealer can make BJ/push 22. You can double on 2 or 3 cards, except not after splitting As. Push 22 rule applies. I think it's Doubles can be rescued and only lose original bet, splits are one bet and busted hands.

Best of luck with the game as it will have some different strategies from normal BJ.
