Yesterday I saw a new, non poker, carnival game at Harrah's Rincon in San Diego.
It is a mix of Baccarat and Blackjack.

The game is played with an 8 deck shoe.
The player receives two up cards and the dealer receives an up and a down card (like blackjack).
The object of the game is to get closest to 9 (like baccarat).

The player may stand, hit or split pairs.
Pairs may be split up to three times.
Only one card is received on a split (like splitting Aces).

If the dealer's first two cards are 0 - 4, the dealer hits.
If the dealer's first two cards are 5 - 9, the dealer stands.

If a player receives a "Lucky 9", a total of 9 on the first two cards without a 10 value card, the player is payed 3 to 2.
A "Lucky 9" ties with a "Natural 9", a total of 9 which includes a 10 value card.
A "Lucky 9" wins against all 3 card totals of 9.
A "Natural 9" pays even money and ties with any hand totaling 9.

If the player has a total of 0, 1 & 2, the player automatically loses.
If the player has a total of 3 - 9, the hand is compared to the dealers.

A win for the player pays 1 to 1.
A tie with the dealer is a push.

There are two side bets:
The Tie bet pays 7 to 1 if the player and dealer hands tie.

The "Lucky 9 Bonus" pays if the players two cards plus the dealer's up card total 9.
Suited 3-3-3 200 to 1
Suited 2-3-4 100 to 1
Any 3-3-3 50 to 1
Any 2-3-4 40 to 1
Suited Total of 9 30 to 1
Any Total 9 5 to 1
