I'm thinking that this would be the first in a series of threads that new visitors could refer to for suggestions based on their budget and length of visit.
As many first timers will be just turning 21, usually without a lot of $$, what are the "Don't Miss" things that should be planned for in one weekend?
Here are my suggestions:
Cruise the Strip at night
Visit Bellagio, see the fountain show
Eat dinner at the Bellagio buffet (one good meal)
Visit The Venetian
See the Mirage volcano, but you don't need to go in the hotel.
Visit Caesars Palace
Visit Hard Rock
Gamble Downtown
Fremont Street Experience
Add Ons:
See a Cirque Show (Ka)$$$
Visit The Palms (if interested in things you have seen on reality TV)
Night Club / Ultralounge $$

I agree / disagree.
Be sure to see the Bellagio Conservatory inside in addition to the Fountains.
But Skip the Bellagio Buffet, there are plenty of other good ones, and the lines for the Bellagio buffet
can get pretty long.
Consider getting the LVA coupon book for a $ 37 membership to stretch your dollars, especially
on food and shows.
And for a first-timer, I'd say there is so much to see on the Strip that you shouldn't bother with
getting downtown. Save that for a return trip.
The TI show is a good spectacle, even though it isn't as good as the original. So I'd recommend
it before the Mirage Volcano.
Go to Ellis Island to get the Sirloin Special, and feel like a Local. It's sort of close to Hard Rock,
which I would also recommend to see the Rock n Roll memorabilia.

There's emptiness behind their eyes
There's dust in all their hearts
They just want to steal us all and take us all apart
