Hey,

I'm planning to visit a friend in Vegas for a week but I'm def not the gambling type and I've been wondering what cool places to visit during the day. I'll check out a couple of car museums and what else would you recommend? First time in Nevada!

Thanks!

Pinball Hall of Fame. And lots of cool shopping. Even just window shopping in Vegas is fun.

The Mob Museum. Make sure you hit the speakeasy in the basement.

Even if you're not the gambling type you can still hit up the casinos for free lessons. Might be kind of fun just learning how everything works.

I see two recommends for the Fremont Street Experience. Have any of you locals checked it out since the renovation? Is it worth seeing again with the upgrades or is it just the same old, same old?
Have you tried 22 tonight? I said 22.

Become the gambling type! Win enough at the casinos to buy your own car museum. Its a bit dated now but Mary Carpenter of Earth Magazine wrote a few articles on unique geology sites within a day's trip of Vegas and free campgrounds nearby.

I was just there a few weeks ago. It’s like going from an Atari 2600 to a 5200. Meh.

Meanwhile, the area under the canopy continues to decline as the costumed bums per square foot continues to grow.

If you’ve got money to burn, shoot some automatic weapons. Is the “Rent a Steamshovel” attraction still open?

Visit the Pawn Stars shop.

Great golf courses all over the place.

Take the dam tour.

Retro games represent, yo!

I don't think anybody has mentioned all the great food choices to explore in Las Vegas!

Oh MAN—Future Stars of Wrestling is going on at Sam's Town AT THIS VERY MINUTE!!!

You can attend an auction.

I used to take family and friends to the Ethel M chocolate factory and cactus garden.

And of course, the aforementioned—near and dear to my heart—Pinball Hall of Fame!
