What are the best weekend rates in Las Vegas? It can be in any part, north/south/boulder/hacienda. The only rules are clean and safe hotels/motels.

Who has the best gamblers rates? What are their weekend rates?

Are there any extended stay suites/hotels/apartments that are clean and safe? I looked them up and all the $160-250 a week places all included roaches, mold, crime. There are some that call themselves extended stay, but don't have weekly rates. I can do more than $250 a week, but $180 a night on weekends is insane; even hooters charges that much (it's like a motel 6 as far as room quality goes.)

Haven't priced them but have stayed several times at The D. I find them more than reasonable for all rates, and a generous comp for play at checkout. Rooms are clean and decently appointed.

Switch likes 4 Queens very much, and published some pics of his rooms there that made it look very livable. I would stay there in the future. They are also very affordable most times.

Both downtown . Both feel safe to me, and I'm paranoid about that, as I usually travel alone.

Edit. Looked at.hotels.com and the rate quotes.are ridiculous. I see your problem I'd that's your source, or any sites like it. So here's what I'd do. If you have a higher tier card, or even if you don't, call a casino hotel property and ask to speak to vip services or a host. Tell them you're coming in, you'd like to start a relationship, you expect to play at x level for x days with them. Mention you're diamond or whatever if you are. Most hosts will spot you a comp night, quote you a casino rate for the rest, and agree to look at your play at checkout. Let them make the reservation for you. And give them some decent play.

If distance from the strip isnt important I'd say Silver Sevens and Fiesta Henderson are good choices. Check with Railroad Pass for good rates but their marketing offers are zero for out of towners. You could try AZ Charlie's or Longhorn. I've had mixed results with getting comped rooms at Binions/Four Queens but their casino rates are good on weekends.

Even Billionaires like to save money.

How long are you staying and what games and limits will you be playing? Once we have that information it will be easier to guide you in the right direction.

What Dates you need the rooms?

Somome might be able to set you up with something. No promises, as
It's just hard to commit being that people travel often and sometimes things come up last minute. Even when family is coming in I tell them to have a back up plan just incase. Comped rooms, food and stuff goes super fast, especially with Djatc around (-;

Even Billionaires like to save money...

They didn't become billionaires by not saving money. Most people don't realize it really is (and should be) the rich people that are penny pinchers; you don't expect poor people to worry about a penny, that's why they're poor.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

Excellent advice. I am a great believer in Play Where You Stay. If the casino doesn't care for your play, try somewhere else where you will be appreciated.

Some suggestions: Look at the photos of the hosts and select which one you want to call/email. Never expect a host to put any commitment in writing about comps, they will only give their 'usual habits'.
Be scrupulously honest about your usual gambling habits. Games, wagers, hours, etc. Even my usual ten dollars in slot machines is mentioned in my email, just to impress them with my frankness. I set forth my craps, Blackjack and Baccarat wagers and times, but even include the lesser miscellaneous stuff. Honesty seems to impress them the most.

Getting comps for meals and rooms can be good even if you have to await your impending departure to find out what the details are. Some casinos are willing to invest in your future play but they like to have some past history to justify it. Paying for a flea bag hotel is not ever worth it. If you trip over empty cartridge cases in your hotel parking lot you will not be in a good mood when you get to the casino, so why bother at all.

This is true. The name came from my great great grandfather founding a billion dollar company, then evil bankers took it and kicked him out. I'm working on another billion for myself, I had to take some time and just re-teach myself to save money longterm. Now that I have more discipline, I can go back to work. I am looking into all of the choices, obviously comped rooms are good (but at $175 a night that cuts into comp points that would be used for video poker or promo chips.)

The most valuable lesson I can teach, is to learn to save. I know several people who had half a million (odd recurrance of the same amount in 4 cases from different walks of life), never got to enjoy it much and it's all gone with nothing to show for it. Had they learned to save, they might have 1-3 million now with no real skill to grow it.

Still looking into all hotel options, I have a room but weekend rates are what I need to investigate a good solution.

Reasonable rates Sun-Thurs and gouging on weekends is how Vegas rolls. You can't escape it. It's even worse when there's some "special event" like the Super Dooper Pooper Scooper Bowl Extravaganza or the Get Drunk and Fall Face Down in the Street Festival; then, you're looking at $300+ a night most places.

You're correct about most of the weekly places, in that they're pretty skanky and the clientele are usually...uh, colorful. You might find some nicer weeklies on the South Strip--I remember liking Siena Suites last year, and they were $259 + tax per week.

You'll do much better if you stay away from the Strip. I don't recommend downtown, because while the rooms can be a relative bargain, the whole place can be very noisy. I would check out: Orleans, Gold Coast, Sunset Station, Green Valley Ranch, Palace Station, Boulder Station, Arizona Charlie's Decatur and Boulder, South Point, and if you want to go upscale a bit, the M or Palms. Check this page for a sample comparison: http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/articles/room-rates.cfm

I've found that I can always get a room for nothing or close to it on Sun-Thurs, but weekends are always a struggle. Vegas bares its fangs and drinks the blood of visitors in a fairly brief 48-hour window: Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. It used to be that rooms on the weekend were reasonably priced simply because they expected to rape you at the machines and tables. But then they discovered that the lemmings keep coming even if you charge them $200 a night. They tentatively introduced resort fees, feeling that this was one thing people wouldn't stand for. Yet, still they come.

So my advice is: establish a relationship with a host at one of the properties I mentioned, and find out what kind of action they require for a comped room. At the very least, you should be able to wangle casino rate, which is usually 30-40% off rack rate.

I have had particular success in getting comped rooms, even during busy weekends, at the South Point, in return for modest action: $8-10K daily on their good video poker machines (expected loss around $25).

Expected loss $25 on video poker, with very high variance. There are so many people that have lost millions on video poker, that I use a secret method of playing so I don't lose. I only use comp points, play the minimum and cash out any winnings almost immediately (not 25c at a time, but I don't play through it twice) and I only do so when i'm behind or the points will expire if I don't use it.

Siena Suites seems worth checking out, some claim bed bugs (the worst thing mentioned); others have no problems. There used to be a fogger that killed bedbugs, but now folks are outta luck since it's off the market. AZ charlies seems to be the only hotel that doesn't over charge on weekends and has availability as far as normal hotel/casino's go. As long as there are no bed bugs, then Siena Suites sounds fine.

I was about to check out Seigel suites, but there are so many headlines with "man shot" and "man barricaded himself from police" that it's not appealing.

Comp stays are ideal, i'm here to work (games) not sit in the hotel.

REALLY?? Maybe in AZ/NV, but not in FL.

I brought bedbugs home from a Biloxi casino last December. Whatta pain! I used Hot Shot Bedbug & Flea Fogger (3 canisters in a box for under $10) to kill them. But, it took until July before I was sure I had killed them all. And, that was bombing my bedroom 3 times a week! I had to set the bomb off and leave the room closed for 2 hours. Then, air the room for 2 hours. Then, wash EVERYTHING in the room in hot water and dry everything on the hottest dryer setting. Bedbugs are nearly indestructible.

I don't think you would be safe to assume one fogger bug-bomb would guarantee anything, because bedbug eggs can hatch the next day. And, the hungry hatchlings let you know of their presence in a day or two. You have to blast them again before they have time to mature sufficiently to lay their own eggs. It's a long, drawn-out war, not a single battle.

My advice: avoid bedbugs like the plague!
