This trip I plan to devote the first day to obtaining cards from the Venetian, Cosmopolitan, TI, Ellis Island (if possible) and Palms. I should have no problem visiting each of the other properties.
Quote: s2dbakerLeave your card collection at home. The casinos will gladly give you a replacement card. On my last trip, the lady at the Cosmo thanked me for leaving my card at home because "people like you (who forget their cards) are why I have a job".
Oh, it's not a matter of keeping them. I like having them, but it's not a collection properly speaking. Besides, for many I've two cards already (MGM, TR and Riviera, maybe the Strat).
BTW when I lost my TR card last trip, the lady at the kiosk at first acted very annoyed. Then I said "I have the card number," and her face just lit up. She gave me two replacements.
Anyway, my question is whether the older cards will still work or not. If they do, there's no need to exchange them.
To 1BB, they've scanned my license and my US visa last trip, and in '09 and '08. I could care less. This time, though, I'd be more concerned that they believe my license is a real license and not a novelty card of some sort.
Quote: 1BBThere have been about 6 different Foxwoods cards over the years and my very first version still works. Their kiosks are terrible whether you use an old card or a brand new one.
Thank you.
And thanks Nick.
In view of this, I won't bother to get them replaced unless they don't work for some reason. Maybe just the Riviera when I ask about the rebate promo.
My name is David Miller. I tend to get that frustrated look as well when I need replacements.Quote: NareedBTW when I lost my TR card last trip, the lady at the kiosk at first acted very annoyed. Then I said "I have the card number," and her face just lit up. She gave me two replacements.
That's usually the case. Unless there is a merger or major change to the corporate structure or rewards program, your number will be the same, so the old cards will still work.Quote: NicksGamingStuffOld FItz card works the same as the new D card.
You can probably use your old Riv card and still get in on the promo. As long as you haven't gambled there in a long enough time to qualify as a "new player", you're good to go. After all, if you try to scam your way into the repate by asking for a new card, unless you also have a new address, your old account will pop up.Quote: NareedI won't bother to get them replaced unless they don't work for some reason. I might yet. I didn't do it the first day because they had removed the wording about the 24 months. In any case, my goal in that promo wasn't $1,000, which I can't afford, but at most $200; and as of now more likely $100...
as for the rest, I've used my existing cards without trouble, and got one "updated," without my asking, at Arizona Charlies Boulder.
We missed you at WoVCon. Hopefully you'll be able to make it next time.
