It happened again!
I made a buy bet on the four for $35 and paid one dollar vig. I then made another bet (it could have been later on the same roll) on the ten for $35 and paid one dollar vig. The box man asked for an additional dollar because the total of the two bets was enough to cause a $3 vig. Another player asked to buy the four and ten for $30 each and was asked for three dollars vig. I believe this to be incorrect and refused to pay the extra dollar as there was no justification for combining two separate bets for figuring the vig. The box man said he would call the bets "off" of the extra was not paid. What are my options? To whom can I appeal? This acually happened at Mohegan Sun yesterday.

I have noticed that. If you buy the 4 and 10 for $50 each, they try to get $5 from you sometimes. But not every time. I've noticed it at the place you've mentioned, and other places as well. So I buy the 4 and then wait a roll to buy the 10. One time I paid the $5 for one roll, and then said "Take down the one that's $3, please. Keep up the $2 one..."

Sounds really dumb considering the fact that they are two separate bets. Not only that, but it is impossible for both bets to win at the same time. I would refuse to play craps at this establishment.
The casino I play at doesn't even tally the vig on multiple lay bets, which to me would make more sense, although I still wouldn't agree with it.

Gotta push the house before the rolls. Ask them what they will accept for the vig. Keep it near the threshold and you could get a good deal.
Never argue after the fact. Always ask before.
But if they let you bet and PAID you and only charged $1 vig, and then LATER asked for more, THAT is complete bull. I would contact your state's gaming commission contact, or talk to someone at the casino and tell them you are willing to fight it and that their dealers should not have forced you to pay a higher vig retroactively.

On second thought, you are only paying 2.85% vig on those $35 bets.
Just accept the decision this time and limit your betting to either the four or the ten.
They really could start charging $2 vig at any point after $30 bet.
It is not unusual for a friendly house to accept $1 vig on $30 bets.
I have even seen $1 vig on bets as high as $38!
But this happened in AC where you can walk out the door into another ten casinos.
Mohegan can be a little unyielding and stiff with their customers
As one of the only two casinos in CT, they know you cant really go elsewhere. Foxwoods has a similar attitude.
If you really want to complain to someone (and risk a stricter vig policy),
You can go to the tribal gaming commission office located over near the casino of the earth.
