The question is simple - how do odds, and therefore fair hand rankings, stack across poker hands length 2 to 7?
Think of a draw poker game where you don't get to discard cards, but start with 2 and the ability to draw more cards. Drawing, then, can improve or degrade your hand. For there to be a decision, the hands need to rank according to fair odds, at least approximately.

Some rankings are clear, e.g. a 5-card flush or straight ranks above a 4-card one; but trips in a 4-card hand rank below trips in a 3-card hand. Others are not - should a 5-card straight outrank a 3-card straight flush, and should two pair in a 4-card hand beat both?

Odds tables for 5-card and 3-card hands are easily available, but not the rest. Could anyone help me compile a complete ranking?

Also, on another note, is there any precedent of either 2-card hands being ranked in the same way (with added value for connectors and flushes), or, conversely, something establishing strictly pair/high card ranking?
