Odds on Point Bet

I know the Odds bets on a Point are the best bets on the Craps table (no house advantage). But I don't think it's wise to put ANY amount of money up on a Point 4 or Point 10. The 4/10 only wins 33.33% of the time. Even the Pts 5/9 only win 40% of the time. And I know putting those Odds bets on something else is even worse. So why do I bet Odds on a Point 4? Well, it's sure nice getting double for my money. But there sure must be something wrong about putting up any money on something that only Wins 33% of the time.

It doesn’t matter. You get compensated for the lower win percentage by getting paid double when you hit. On any odds bet you’ll neither come out a winner or a loser when the dust settles.

The house edge doesn't have any correlation on likelihood of winning a bet. It only indicates the "fairness" of a bet payout.
