Match Play

On the Wizard's promo chip discussion, he says that promo chips should be played at Blackjack, but match play should be played on the Dealer bet at EZ Bacc.

I must be dumb - I'm not understanding where there's a drastically significant difference in expected outcome?

I'm not counting, just playing good basic strategy... I've got a follow-up offer after a bigger than normal play day at a local property - instead of my typical $25-50 match play, I'm going to run through $500, so it's a bit more for me.

I’m assuming that match play doesn’t pay 3-2 on a blackjack. It’s usually for even money bets.
