Let's say you and the dealer both have pair aces. So does that automatically mean it's a push without looking at the 3rd card or do you see who has the higher 3rd card. I ask this because I was playing online and they had it as a push without looking at the 3rd card. I always thought they go all the way with looking at cards if it is a push so far.

That's what I always thought or felt I should say. Somehow these online casinos have weird rules. It was at gocasino.com and I was playing for fun.

Agreed. I did go down to the third card a couple of times, but not with pairs.
However, would the house edge go up if identical pairs pushed regardless fo the third card? If it does, I can see casinos, especially online, using that rule. of course it's crap and renders the "three card" concept rather meaningless.

If such a rule existed, it would benefit neither the player nor the house, as it would be equally likely to create a push rather than a loss (or, rather than a win) for the player OR the dealer.
