I understand how roulette minimums apply separately to inside and outside bets. But I have a question I have never seen specifically addressed, so I hope someone will answer it for me. With inside bets, I am not required to bet in multiples of the minimum. For instance, with a $5 minimim I can bet $7 or $8 or $29 dollars on any single number I like. But with outside bets, can I bet $7 on red? Or must I bet $5, $10, etc? In other words, must outside bets be in multiples of the minimum?

Yes, but you'd want to make your chips worth $1 each.

You can bet 7, 8 or 29 on outside bets if you want. But each "box" must contain at least the minimum bet. you cannot spread it over multiple bets, like you can on the inside.

So just to be clear, the outside bets do not need to be in multiples of the table minimum?

The outside bets must simply be the table minimum for EACH bet. So if you want to bet red, it has to be at least $5... If you want to be the first half, it needs to be at least $5. If you want to bet both they EACH need to be $5 at least.Quote: mbrother11So just to be clear, the outside bets do not need to be in multiples of the table minimum?
On the inside they give you $1 valued chips and you just have to have $5 in TOTAL action. So you could bet $1 on 5 different numbers, $2 on 2 numbers and $1 on 1 number, or $5 on 1 number, etc.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.
