At this one casino, I have been getting promo chips due to BJ play. They are the play once kind where you get paid on the winnings and then they take the chip away.
But recently I have been doing machine play. Now they are seem to be giving me a little bit more promo chips due to machine play. But I don't get any free slot play. How to change this?

Play more then half of your play as slots is the generally accepted norm

You could ask a boothling or host to see if you can exchange it, or set a preference for machine play on your future offers.

In AC you can exchange your Direct Bet (free bet) coupons for slot play. I do it all the time and play Video Poker.
However if you have a Match Play coupon where you have put up chips to match the coupon value, they will not exchange it for slot play.
I get my Direct Bet from Bally's and the Match Play from Golden Nugget.
