I've been reading up on some pai gow articles on the site,

https://wizardofodds.com/online-gambling/realtime-gaming/

https://wizardofodds.com/games/pai-gow-poker/

RTG's Pai gow poker is at 2.86% whereas normal pai gow house edge is 2.72%. First of all is this 2.86% assuming optimal play? if it is, then playing with house way would actually be around 3% house edge!

So assuming if that's not the case, what accounts for this 0.14% higher house edge?

It's not the rounding of commissions to 0.25 is it? Everyone knows about that.

Is there another reason for this 0.14% higher HE?
