Once the money gets to the cage and you play for an hour at the rate you claim, tell them what you want, period. They will flock to you like flies to sh**. Worse case scenario, you take one of your 10k- 75k win and put it to the side and spend it for what you want. If you want a room pay for it, or a tee shirt buy it. Best case scenario, they will want to win all your money and they will keep you happy at their place until they get it. They are in the business to separate you from your money you.
I don't know what level of gambling they would want to see in order to qualify, but I'd assume that this is high enough.

Believe it or not, it might not be high enough. (I could be wrong, of course) The only stories I've heard about people being flown in like that involve a few mega whales who bet like $250,000+ per hand.
But again, I don't know how accurate this info is, so hopefully someone else with more knowledge can chime in.

I think it has more to do with how much money you place on deposit with them. In order to be flown around you would probably have to have front money of around $1 million.
$1 million??? *whistle* Wow...Quote: TomspurI think it has more to do with how much money you place on deposit with them. In order to be flown around you would probably have to have front money of around $1 million.
(Thanks for the info! :)

If you are planning to bet between $10k and $75k per hand, a million dollars (preferably more) seems reasonable, otherwise you could be wiped out pretty quickly.
Quote: AceCrAAckersPersonally, I think this is all BS. I will be betting $10,000 to $75,000 a hand for 4 to 8 hours. Can anyone help me get some buffet comps. If it is not too much, can I get a room reservation also in Vegas. That city has more hotel rooms than anywhere else in the world but I want to play it safe.
What?
The guy just wants to know who to get in touch with, and what he can get. Things like loss rebates aren't exactly well advertised.
It seems reasonable to me. If I was going to a different country to gamble where I didn't know how things worked, I'd ask the same questions (not that I bet at those levels -- but if I did, I'd probably have even more questions)
Actually, I don't. Its just they are not looking for the hoi poloi and when they show up, they get screened. Oh, its a polite and friendly desk clerk asking all those questions but its clear they are serious. The customers at the Venetian show up in private jets and limousines or airliners and limousines. Right from the start the airport shuttle crowd is treated separately. Also Venetian security will stop all vehicles, including taxis, entering the property no matter what the effect on traffic on the strip is. Its an attitude that pervades the place.Quote: AxiomOfChoiceThis is interesting. Do you know what it is that they are looking for or worried about in this situation?
Spend early morning at the Wynn and you won't meet any dogs in the casino, go to the Venetian and there will one or two dogs being lead around the empty tables sniffing wherever the public or the crew were standing. Bombs, Drugs, ... I don't know and I wasn't ever foolish enough to ask.
So if interested in comps at the Venetian, don't arrive by Airport Shuttle... its simply starting off on the wrong foot.
Quote: TomspurFlea, not sure I can agree with you. There are not too many casinos out there who will negotiate with a guy they know nothing about who is willing to deposit, let's say $500k into their accounts. They will give him the standard 1%-3% cash back if you reach your trip theoretical but thee is no way they sweeten the deal without him actually being there and putting in the hours.
This is only my opinion so I wish you all the best and hopefully you can negotiate as well as you can and get a great deal. In my experience the good deals will come either while there or on your next trip.
Oh, you are most definitely correct and its obvious I expressed myself poorly.
What I meant by my post was that near check out time some casino hosts will be willing to "invest" in a player and sweeten his comp account solely to ensnare him ever more securely in a return trip. Being a "First Trip To Las Vegas" type is something that interests a host.
Oh, by the way, some people don't just negotiate on the basis of "willing to deposit, let's say $500k into their accounts" but they negotiate on the "Front Money" deposit which is a far lower amount deposited solely to indicate the player is serious. The casino will want a credit agreement signed, even if the casino is not granting you credit. The casino will also negotiate on the basis of a Front Money Account which is an account wherein the player keeps a credit balance with the casino.
The one thing that struck me though was how focused he was on his time of play, theo, and avg bet. I had incorrectly assumed at that level it would all just take care of itself, but that is not the case. It appears that he has the same concern for creating enough action at his level, as I do at my lowly level. $500,000 Front Money. That is unreal.
But let's start slowly. I would like to start with a $7,000 investment. However, my bank will only let me write checks in $10k increments, so I would kindly ask that you accept my check for $10,000 and then wire me back the $3,000 in change.
Once we have completed that, we can proceed with our profitable gambling future.
Quote: RaleighCrapsThanks for the links B9th. That was a great read. Sure would be fun to go through that experience one time.
He seems like a really nice guy too. I always pull for him big time whenever he announces a trip.
Once we get past that, I can start gambling $500,000 per hand using my patented "always double" betting system.*
* I can teach you this system in 20 classes, at $2000 per class.

I'm assuming he is who he says he is until (and unless) proven otherwise. This is a board with a reputation for good information worldwide. He hasn't been to the US, he plays under the radar, he asks what he needs to know, he doesn't know colloquial American English. Why shouldn't he get the benefit of the doubt and some assistance in contacting the people he's asking about? I haven't seen any inconsistencies in his responses, nor any indication that he's trying to scam someone. He seemed to be happy with the information he got, so if he's for real, he's making his negotiations with some idea of whom he can ask and what he can ask for. Seems simple to me.
Quote: brigadaHello all,
I'm an avid blackjack/baccarat player from the Netherlands, and i have played in a lot of casinos throughout Europe.
My blackjack/baccarat bets range from $10k - $75k per hand usually. With most casinos in Europe i play in, i have things
settled regarding comps, creditlines and money transfers.
I would like to know how one would go about approaching Las Vegas casino's about those issues. Is there a special department
handling these issues? I have ofcourse used google, but it seems there are no commercial services specializing in arranging this for players,
or i couldn't find them at least.
So i would like to know the following:
- Is it better to approach a casino myself, or are there trustworthy commercial services available?
- What could i ask for (comps-wise)?
Thank you in advance for your time answering my questions and excuse my bad English.
brigade,
This post has been going for 8 pages? It is simple. You will be comped for whatever you want. Your flight? They might at the end of your trip depending on the big picture. Who cares though. 500.00-2,000? If they do it will be a bonus.. YES YOU NEED A HOST! I would use an onsite host but as stated before Cyr is a good independent host. If you would like, message me if you want to stay at the Wynn, Aria, MGM or Cosmopolitan. I have very accommodating, understanding, long tenure and honest host at each of these establishments. I will also let you know exactly what to ask for in the way of Suites, food credits, shows, private tables, rebates and so on..
Bottom line, have fun and let us all know how your trip comes out!

So the smart gambler flies commercial and hires a limo, then they don't have to put up the million, is what you're saying. Got it.

Ok, I have stayed at the Venetian. My parents stay there all the time. We gamble enough that none of us ever pay for a suite. However, we are not arriving in limos and we are certainly not arriving by private jet. We fly Southwest.
I've never been asked these questions at the front desk. But then, I arrive by taxi, not by airport shuttle.
A hooker did once tell me that they don't go to the Venetian because security there gives them a hard time there.
