I'm curious since I'm going there next weekend with some friends. I've been to vegas probably 2 dozen times, but never remember when tables are at their highest vs their lowest. Also, are there any more $5 crap tables on the strip at any major hotel? I haven't seen any in a long, long time, but I could be wrong. Thanks. Peace.

I was in Vegas first part of January and was surprised to find $5 craps tables at Mirage and MGM Grand. $10 minimum at Venetian, where I was staying, but I played most of the time at Casino Royale. I like that place.

It seems like a lot of people like Casino Royale so I'll hit it up with my bros and see how we roll. At any rate, I've come to the conclusion that wherever you go, just make sure that if you're on a streak, to watch people's hands. Some people like to make a last minute bet, and the dice can hit the person's finger and make everyone 7 out on the table . . .

Oh, btw, what time did you see the $5 tables, morning, noon or night? Thanks!

I think it was probably afternoon. Casino Royale does attract some inexperienced players. Last time I was there some guy threw his money on the table for chips, but then didn't bet anything. Then he said to me "I have no idea what I'm doing here". I told him maybe he shouldn't be playing until he did a little research.

Sounds like you get around more often than I, but I will throw in my two cents. A lot of casinos will give extra points in the middle of the night... ie 3ish in the morning. I would have to believe this is when you will find the lowest minimums. Also, if you and your friends wish to monopolize a table this is the best time for that.

O'sheas has at least one $5 table 24/7. From 9:00pm to 3:00am they usually have two. You can also get rated for your play on your Harrah's card. As for other casinos, look for lower limits during non- peak hours, from 4:00am to 6:00pm. I also think Bills and Imperial Palace always have a $5 game.

O'sheas doesn't have any real blackjack, only 6-5. You would lose less per hour flat betting $10 at a 3-2 table somewhere else than flat betting $5 at O'sheas.
