I feel like the purple answers in today's Connections should not be allowed to be a category. Just my two cents.
Heck they could do a category "Words with the letter A in them" and have a full grid of words with As.

After readting this (before doing connections), I saw that there were exactly 4 three letter words in today's puzzle. I decided the category must be "3 letter words" and it turns out I was wrong but right (first 3 letters of a zodiac sign), and finished connection without an error. Stupid cubed.

I have a feeling they're using two different definitions of "decline" here.
Ebb, fade, and wane - decline as a synonym of reduce
Flag - decline as a synonym of reject (e.g. "My credit card was flagged / declined" - ironically, my Ceasar's Rewards Visa card was declined once today)
