I am not surprised. If he bets it all and gets the question wrong he would be in terrible shape for the last round. By betting what he did he is now in a commanding lead without risking it all. If he missed the answer he would still be in contention.

You obviously KEEP confusing me with DarkOz and his story(I'm sure he'll be along to correct what he actually said regarding pantyhose). But that's okay, I've come to expect you to be oftentimes confused.

I can think of a few good reason someone might defend attractiveness as something subjective. Whatever the case, it's not as subjective as you may think. There's usually a consensus who is beautiful and who isn't.

Now be honest, do you find Emma extremely attractive?

Then again, I'm talking to somebody who obviously believes the house edge on craps is subjective.

...Holzhauer and the long-running quiz show’s two other biggest winners, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter, will face off in a prime-time Greatest of All Time tournament on ABC in January, marking the first network airing of the original “Jeopardy!” in 30 years. (“Jeopardy” is syndicated to local stations, but airs on ABC outlets in many top markets.)...

...But the GOAT tournament will be anything but typical: It consists of a series of two back-to-back games, airing weeknights (8 EST/PST) beginning Jan. 7. The player with the most combined winnings from the two games wins the “match,” and the play continues on successive nights (except Monday) until one of them has won three matches and takes home a $1 million prize. (The other finishers get $250,000 apiece). That means the tournament can last anywhere from three to seven days.

ABC reality programming chief Rob Mills came up with the idea for his "favorite show" and calls it "my dream project" that's destined to succeed in an uncertain TV world. "I don't know how this doesn't become an event." ...

I've got to think that "Jeopardy James" has a big advantage over the Ken and Brad simply because he has played on the Jeopardy! stage most recently. I would imagine the knowledge bases of all three are about equal; so from what Babs and others have said, it will be a game more about working the buzzer than breadth of knowledge.

I'm sure the other two will be honing their buzzer skills, but there's nothing like the 'live fire' testing James has done over the course of the past year.

I also think his DD strategy is superior, but I wouldn't be surprised if the other two modify their strategies to wager similarly.

I thought you were going to say "be a doctor" or a scientist or something. I don't really see any difference from gambling and wall street, as far as "doing something with your life." You're probably more likely to do things you're ashamed of on wall street. Gamblers don't pay off politicians to start wars. If you are pro sports bettor, as opposed to a tout, you aren't fleecing clients for pointless fees.

It's not my primary profession but I do stock trading and investing for myself and for others. This makes money consistently.

Casino gambling...there is no certainty. I've managed to stay ahead but trying to make a living out of it is not wise, and I do it for fun. Sports betting - all those sports bettors claim they have a system and can win but if that were so the casinos and bookies wouldn't be making so much money off them. The point spreads are there for a reason.

Eh? Where is my post from a few hours ago?
Have you tried 22 tonight? I said 22.

I show you posted on Nov 21, back a page and not that long ago, in here. But I don't see any deleted post indication in this thread...perhaps you could re-post whatever it is?

Okay...

I have to wonder how much the odds reflect recent memory. Suppose, for example, that Holzhauer's domination occurred 15 years ago and that this season a guy named Ken Jennings had gone on 74 game winning streak. Would not Jennings now be favored to win the goat tourney with discussion centered on his superior "aggressive but tempered with some caution" approach to the game?

I read this post at the time. So if it’s not in this thread any longer it definitely got deleted.

Yeah, I read it, too. Haven't scrolled back to see if it's gone, though. But glad you brought the thought back to the thread if it is.

Winner take all. Jennings win is a push. I don't care about relative rankings, who's 2nd or 3rd.

He posted since then, but I didn't see where he did take it. So I'm calling it. I'll go back and scroll for an answer, but you have it by default.

Cutoff has to be today. Rumor is they start shooting the games in the next couple days, on a closed set, so bets need to be in place.

KJennings win is no bet. James wins the series, I pay 100. Brad wins, you owe me 200.

Edit : SM777 has apparently passed. Aye, you have.it. Starts.on page 57 of this thread.

Got it. I am counting on the rust to give the most recent champ an edge. I’m hoping the producers don’t stack the categories against James in order to keep it competitive.
