I had hoped that Wizard would see me fighting with OnceDear, Gordon and TroopScott and make all four of us captains. I already sent all of them a PM behind the scenes that I would share if we were all made captains, despite me running my mouth in the thread.
It looks like I’m a captain and none of the three of them are, in fact, OnceDear is on my team.
So, my plan to trick Wizard has unfortunately failed. Hopefully Nathan will come through and Share. She’s the only one who concerns me a little.

Here’s what I would offer if I were in the big pool: DJTeddyBear (and MidwestAP?) stands to gain $10 by stealing, but $3.33 if everybody shares. The big pool needs to step up and make sharing the better option. The big pool should offer to cut DJTeddyBear $7 if there is an all share.

The only time I can speak for is the second time I was captain and that’s because AxelWolf got to handpick captains that round. In terms of Wizard’s picks, I was only made a captain twice.
Maybe it’s sometimes random, I have no idea.

I agree with you mission, but I think it would be inappropriate for me to intrude on this group of captians. I did enough in this game, so popcorn time for me...I'm going to rest up for the payout conversation.
Round 12 Captians for the big pool... I'm down with whatever you guys want to do including paying off non-pooling caps to vote share. We kinda over powered them last round so we probably owe them one.

What's even more bizarre is that after 12 rounds and 78 designated captains, I have only been captain once. By my count, 33 players, and 78 captain designations - many players have been captains 3 times. I think Miplet and troopscott join me in the "only been captain once" club. Apparently, us math geeks got passed over by one of our own.
Okay, I'm going to step in and take the lead on this one, here are the rosters:

Here is where all side poolers and independents can be found:

THE PLAN
1.) When it comes to attempting a steal, the best that the Big Pool can do is to steal with only their team comprised of all big pool members, but there are 23 big poolers, so the value is:
50/23 = 2.17/Player
2.) However, if there is an all share, then the equity is $3.33 per player, which would have $76.59 going to the big pool.
3.) The problem is, if the ALL BIG POOL team does a steal, someone else is probably going to steal (likely Team 1 or Team 7) which is going to dilute the big pool's value down from that $2.17.
4.) Similarly, if one Independent steals, multiple independents are likely going to steal and dilute the value.
---They might not like this, but what I am going to suggest is that the big pool breaks off $20 after the all share to be divided amongst most of the side poolers and Independents equally.
---RS and AyeCarumba are both on my team, so they have no control over what I do, so we don't need them.
---If the big pool agrees to break off $20 to be split among these seven players after the all share:
MaxPen
GWAE
DJTeddyBear
MidwestAP
OneNickelMiracle
DJATC
SM777
Those players would each get $3.33 + (20/7) = $6.19
That's better than any of those players would do individually if there is more than one steal.
The big pool would still chop up $56.59, which is $2.46 each, which is better than the big pool would do if the team of all big poolers were to steal.
This is the cooperation game, and this is the deal where everyone wins, unless someone can think of something better.
The only better option would be if you could bribe DJTeddyBear and MidwestAP (Leaders of Teams 1 & 7) with more than that, but I imagine each of them want to see their independent teammate get some.

I don't know that is true if it is in anyway a random process for any of the rounds. I have been a captain three times, but I replaced someone who I don't know if he was ever a captain or not. Also, one of my times as captain is that I was handpicked by Axelwolf.

I think this is also a reasonable position I can support. Principle is sometimes greater than dollars.

Nice analysis, Mark, but PLEASE VOTE SHARE. We can do this. To throw $50 back in Wizard's face would be dumb. Even the small poolers and non-poolers know this game's objective.

I would like to share but the risk may be too great so I would propose that the team captains for teams 1,2,3,5 all vote "STEAL" and team 6 vote "SHARE" so even if team 4 & 7 vote steal or share the big pool sharers still get the higher % of the pot on offer.
I realise this may be seen as -ev but if we all talk about sharing then (if i was not sharing and captain then I'd look to steal) any non sharing leader could vote steal to bag the $50
I'm going to disagree with you, and with SOOPOO. My goals in this game are primary - take as much money from Mike as possible. Secondary : maximize big pool money.
My thought was to double shares of the non-big Poolers to get the $100, ie 100/43.. However, I like the $20 pledge as well. Simpler, cheaper.
Either way, cost of doing business.

If those one or both steal it would add a big chunk to the "pool of northern aggression" or independent pool. This is the last chance for independent and PONA to steal and pad their pool. There is no downside for one of them to lie and say they are sharing and steal anyway.

Why the hell wouldn't I share? I've done nothing but share this entire game.
In fact, it's possible that someone with an interest in stealing PM'ed me behind the scenes and I flatly rejected the notion of stealing even to him.
The goal of this game is to get as much of Wizard's money as possible. All I am suggesting is that you guys make sharing as good as stealing for the non big poolers who are not on my team. It's really not a tough thing to do. SOOPOO accuses them of not cooperating, but the side poolers and no poolers all cooperated when we got the All Share done a few rounds ago.
It's not about getting the best percentage of the pot, it's about getting the most money. The big pool can offer to make it equitable for the non big poolers AND STILL end up with more than $50 to split among themselves.

I think you're conflating, "Sharing," with, "In the pool." DJTeddyBear is not in the pool, but I believe he is open to Sharing in this round.
