Thanks for the competition Pokergrinder, and congratulations again on the win! This was more fun than the NCAA Men's Basketball final!
That's definitely -EV.Quote: KonbuPokergrinder the challenger has emerged victorious! 100 nuggets held down for 10 minutes, and he has decided not to purge right away!
Just Wow.
And they said it couldn't be done.
Pls, somebody watch PG for the next couple hours.
After that he'll prolly be ready to go to dinner!
If/when he does, you should drag him over to Golden Gate so he can go double-or-nothing with the pancake challenge!Quote: KonbuPokergrinder the challenger has emerged victorious! 100 nuggets held down for 10 minutes, and he has decided not to purge right away!

What's it gonna be - a Woody Allen at Carnegie Deli? All You Can Eat at Rollin' Smoke? How about, All You Can MEAT at Fogo de Chao?
Or should that be McChicken?
Quote: SOOPOOWash them down with a Shamrock Shake?
Our champion's drink of choice was Minutemaid lemonade.
How did the Wizard make out in the Monopoly game, assuming he paid for the food? 10 boxes of 10 McNuggets = 20 stamps, plus 2 if the aforementioned lemonade (a) was included and (b) was a medium size rather than a large.
Carried on the shoulders of WoV members in victory to the toilet?
Congratulations I guess?
Quote: mcallister3200What color was the Gatorade in the cooler dumped on PG?
McDonald's is a Powerade shop - and only blue Powerade at that
set a record for WoV.
I thought he did, set a record that is.Quote: EvenBobHe should have kept going past 100 to

Any others???
I will post some pictures and a video later today.
Not only did PokerGrinder win but he did so with more ease than I would have expected. In the 70's he really started going slow, as if he had hit a wall or thought he would lose on time. However, he seemed to find a second wind and just plowed through the last 20 slowly but surely.
Unlike all past challenges, the manager and somebody else came out and warned me not to video. So, I did so discretely after that but we moved outside for the last 10 nuggets and the 10-minute "no reversal" period. It was actually more fun outdoors as we were more at liberty to be loud and rambunctious. Certainly good fun entertainment.
Afterward some of us had lunch at a great BBQ place at the Container Park and others had to go.
With Mount Everest having been climbed, we will have to start thinking of a new challenge. I'd like to do something not eating related, but am open to all ideas.
Like EB said, or was that GWAE?
Skinny ladies (with beards) have no layer of belly fat to keep their stomach from expanding!
I never know when to wager......
I've always thought a Vegas scavenger hunt would be fun. An "Amazing Race"-style affair with tasks to accomplish and checkpoints to visit. Who knows, if it goes off well, you could package it up and turn it into an actual tourism offering.Quote: WizardWith Mount Everest having been climbed, we will have to start thinking of a new challenge. Not bad! Let's make a separate thread to discuss this topic further.
I may do the pancakes if nobody has by then.

Good catch! She doesn't look a day over 80. I just added a note on the video to correct myself. My apologies to the Queen.
Those people were some nice folks from my own Orange County, California cheering PG on and enjoying the challenge.
Sweet, all sweet.Quote: PokerGrinderSolid video coverage Mike. I laughed a couple times watching this, I do not look happy at all while eating nuggets 70-100.
Thx to all, lots of fun to watch, to talk about advance, and maybe talk a little bit about after the fact.
Fame is fleeting PG... So....what's next?

Tomorrow we eat 50 cheeseburgers lol?
Quote: GWAEWould hate to be your toilet in about 4 hours.
Goalpost a little low there. I believe I'd opt out 24/7 regardless.
Glad it was such an interesting wov weekend. Very sorry to have missed it.
Quote: beachbumbabsOmg omgomg! Woohoo pokergrinder! Thanks so much! I was 0-3 with the Wizard on these. Yayaay! Apparently it does take a Canadian! I owe you.

Lol I'm glad I could help Babs. Amazingly I ate two pancakes at Dupar's about 12 hours after the nugget challenge. I thought it would take longer for my body to recover.
This weekend was a lot of fun. I am glad I got to meet everyone. I look forward to the next meet up.
Yeah, even if it had landed on me, a reversal with less than 20 seconds to go would have been fantastic.
Quote: tringlomaneGreat job PG! And always enjoyable to watch these Wiz!
thats all you got for post 5k?
Quote: DJTeddyBearWhile he was eating, I had offered a belly massage - but was ignored, twice.

I would have cried if that had happened.
The finish time was actually closer to the deadline than I expected. What would the ruling have been on the over 75 if time had run out on the 100?
Quote: AyecarumbaThe video is pretty awesome. I was especially impressed by how the spectators all turned away when the camera was pointed at them. DJTB looked like he was serving a tray of hors d'oeuvres at a cocktail party. I thought PG was going to lose it after DJ tried to touch his belly. hehe

The over 74.5 was official as soon as I swallowed nugget 75.
The 10 minute "hold" didn't apply to the 74.5?Quote: PokerGrinderThe over 74.5 was official as soon as I swallowed nugget 75.
Pretty good vid, as well. Props to the cameraman keeping it smooth and steady. The only time I felt dizzy and nauseous was when I caught a glimpse of PG's hat.
Can't wait for the new one!
Then the morning of the event I seen Mike and I bet 50 getting 3 to 1 for the win.
Quote: GWAEthats all you got for post 5k?
Apparently so. Sigh. I knew I was getting close, but I really haven't had anything of general interest to post lately. :(
