I spoke with PokerGrinder quite a bit yesterday. He is taking this very seriously and has been eating in such a way to maximize his chances for a few days now. I'm not saying he will hit 100 but it should be a very good show.

I'm open to that. Specific ideas?

Seriously, as a healthy lifestyle advocate, I'm thinking about making #5 the last McNugget challenge.

One meal is not unhealthy.

Running some numbers: 127-128 is where you should be filling up; 170 is a typical limit; 187-188 is the limit for someone who is an outlier; 200 is a good number to shoot for to be truly great

Yeah, well, during our Sunday walking tour, as we considered lunch options, he suggested MSS buffet so he can load up on salads and vegetables. He also explained how that was part of the, ahem, "training".

Except when we got to there, and the smells hit him, he said, "F--- that. Lemme eat."

He then proceeded to load up on the same crap I was eating - but he ate more of it, so...

Exactly. Doing it 3 times a week is unhealthy,
doing it once is meaningless as far as your
health is concerned.

I think professional eaters will maintain a schedule of consuming bulk (like drinking large quantities of water) to keep their stomach capacity high. It is also important to keep your strenghth up in order to keep from getting ill.

Will someone be livestreaming the event?

Training has nothing to do with it. Either
your system can take the grease overload
or it can't. It's that simple. Or the sugar
and carb overload in a pie eating contest.
Or the volume of food in a hot dog contest.
That's why skinny women are often champs.
For some reason, they can tolerate extremes.

If this guy has never done it before, that odds
are against him. Participants in eating contests
have done it many times, they know their
limitations. A newbie has no idea what he's
up against.

No. I think the best we can offer is text updates and a photo from time to time.

Can I get two volunteers, one who will be present at the challenge and one to transcribe texts to posts during the event?

So now we wait, 'bout fifteen minutes till the moment we have all been waiting for.
In this corner, the relatively unknown challenger, the mysterious Canadian force to be reckoned with, PokerGrinder.
In the other corner, well there's not really another corner.
On the other side, the dark side, there are some that feel the feat cannot be accomplished.
The crowd gathers, there is some last minute wagering, the challenger walks into the arena and the house goes silent. This guy looks serious, others glance to their right and left wondering, wondering what will unfold.

Somewhere back in the back of the arena they start cooking nuggets, lots of nuggets. Everyone's got a poker smile on their face, some are bluffing and worried, but a poker face is a poker face.

The contender sits, rounds of applause from the audience.
And then, and then, the secret weapon is revealed.........

............to be continued (after this brief commercial break )........

From what I've read,
The challenger looks strong, and big...
First 20 or thirty in a couple bites, like only 5 minutes or so..
This one, this one could be the the one, can he do it?

70 nuggets disappeared into oblivion at 1229pm, in 26 min30 sec! Our challenger has slowed his pace and appears to be struggling a little. The 74.5 should be no problem but 100 appears to be difficult at this time.

Is the 74.5 over line the winner...or is there a countdown there as well? It has been over 10 minutes since the 75th nugget was consumed so I assume the Overs have it regardless of the next 10 minutes.

Congratulations PG on getting the 100 nuggets down to begin with...I do hope you can hold on for the countdown.
