I thought I'd start this thread because I think our base has some of the best life experiences here.
What is your favorite quote?
Personally I like the quote engraved on a block of wood given to John F Kennedy by admiral Richter, which reflects the Breton's Fishermans Prayer.

In elementary school, for some reason, we all had to memorize a poem. I had to memorize "Road not Taken" by Robert Frost. Of course, me hating memorizing stuff as well as poems, I didn't do too well. Presenting it aloud in front of my class sure didn't make it easier. I memorized the entire first stanza in like a month, and couldn't remember any more. Except the last 2 lines. Going up on stage in front of my class, I said the poem:
"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I felt proud of myself for doing it quite well, until I sat down in my chair, pulled the poem out from a folder, and realized I skipped over almost the entire thing. But hey, none of the kids in the class knew I f***ed up!

I think that only sentient intentions are "good" or "bad" in terms of grace or evil respectively. Not their means of execution. Can we praise or blame mathematical designs or physical forces for our sentient behaviors? We all employ the same basic ways of thinking and moving.Quote: RSEvil implies action.
