The negative thing was to stress a point out to members who lose out on the main focus of the thread. I.E Mission vs. Wizard and making the money part More important.
I repeat, it's NOT MISSION versus WIZARD. It's Mission versus 100 nuggets and Wizard has taken the 'fail' side on a bet. So of course it's about a friendly wager, which is about the money, even if the money is just a tool to create a fun challenge and dicussion.
Making offers of bets, then walking away from them again is poor form.

I wish Mission success cuz he is a good guy and does a great job running the Picks pool
I can't think of McNuggets without recalling what David Letterman said years ago, "There's is only one part of a chicken that could truly be called a McNugget"
Thread was better before Varenti got involved
Getting back on topic, will there be a video of the entire event from McNugget #1 to #100? Or just video from the beginning and then again at the end?

Now THAT is truly funny!!!!! Never heard it before. The next Challenge has GOT to involve Rocky Mountain Oysters!

Depends on who is the does the video. I can tell you that nuggets 2 to 60 will likely be pretty boring to watch.
Quote: WizardHow is the challenge against me? The challenge is between Mission's will power and his stomach. Nobody ever said McNugget Challenge I was against me.
Sorry I should have said it that way, Mission vs. McNuggets

Hang on let me you tube some video's on Breath Holding for the "longest time vs. Average time" thecesspit.
You can do it at the same time Mission inhales McNuggets.

If you watch a few of them closely, you will notice a "TREND" around 60, they start to chew more and drink more in many of those videos. I also notice the Threshold of 50 nuggets to be the time, when they start to think about changing their minds in continuing such a terrible task.

You just need to worry about sending the Wizard $1,000 to hold. That way, he can send me $100 when you lose. :)

Are you really the Wizard? It's all so confusing.
Now, that said. Niagara Falls is too far away for Mission to visit, and SooPoo and Face are closer, as is the venerable republican/libertarian AZ in PA.
And Varmenti's shrimp and prime rib, if it's at FallsView or Casino Niagara, ain't all that great (their buffets are not very good, with little selection, and their prime rib far overcooked), but the desserts are worth it, but that's about it. I wonder if he's been around the asian section in Fallsview where MiniBac is offered. We probably crossed paths. I spent the two of the last the nights playing Dan Lubin's game there.
Quote: boymimboI'm still in for the $10 against. Sorry that I'm not more courageous. But $10 is my risk point for this event.

I refer the prime rib as in The "Gourmet Prime Rib Burger" at the Deli. They are fabulous. When wife and I do Grand Buffet There, I mainly stay with the Fresh cooked Pasta Station ordering Everything, w/Shrimp, Red Sauce and Extra "Magic Juice" (white wine they cook in with the red sauce) Very delicious. Sorry for my spelling, I had a bit of Wine tonight there.
Quote: Beethoven9thWhen do you plan on sending the $1,000?
He could send either today or tomorrow after his daily bac sessions in which he wins (as a pro bac player) $500 - $1000 per day IIRC...;-)
I am not accepting beachbumbabs bet for the $10.
As far as power-eating training is concerned, I've not yet done any additional training in that regard, at this time. Currently, I'm a bit more focused on weight loss in order to reduce what my stomach is up against in terms of the ability to easily expand.
On the weight loss front, I have lost two pounds since my last update and currently stand 6'4" and weigh 195 pounds. The goal weight is going to be 185-190, but that's going to need to be a developed 185-190, so I'll need to work on that. I can wrap my hand around my opposite wrist and touch my thumb to any one of my fingers, and I couldn't do it with my pinky finger last week, so clearly the weight is falling off in the wrong place.
In all likelihood, I'm going to need to start a daily regimen of sit-ups. That will be just enough to focus the weight loss on the abdomen, note that I'm not necessarily trying to develop abdominal muscle because that makes it even more difficult for the stomach. We're going to go with 100 sit-ups per day for the next two weeks and see what happens with the weight.
On a side note, I've been told that Las Vegas has the best McNuggets! ;)
Quote: odiousgambitWe're talking December this year, right?
Yes!
Sit-ups tonight, 200.
I decided to have a bit of a trial run, so after a nice breakfast of Pop-Tarts and Ice Cream, lunch of Honey Greek Yogurt, I proceeded to get ready to go grocery shopping. On a whim, I decided I was going to grab some nuggets just to learn how to eat them efficiently.
I wanted to put the same pressure on my stomach that I will experience on Saturday, December 21st at The D Casino, so I ate a quarter-pound of fish before I left...raw fish.
I went to McDonald's and ordered forty Chicken McNuggets, I'd say I made mincemeat out of them, but they were already mincemeat. Forty nuggets, nine minutes...while driving.
The most efficient way to eat them is going to be to tear them in half and pop one half in on each side of my mouth, have to get as many molars involved as I can. Second most efficient would be to use two hands and take a bite of half a nugget on each side of my mouth, but my incisors aren't as wide as I'd like them to be for that, making it awkward. Sticking an entire one in the mouth and counting on the incisors is a bad idea, they have some hard spots, so need mashed up.
The crazy thing is, I became hungry ten minutes afterwards, ravenously hungry, I actually WANTED more nuggets, sixty more.
I ended up settling for a cheese sample at the second store at which I stopped, and then I ate an ice cream sundae cone and M&M Cookie when I got home. The Chicken Nuggets were consumed only a short hour-and-a-half ago, in two hours, I will eat 3/4ths of a pizza. If I hold that pizza down, and I think I will, nothing can stop me.
I'm still hungry. Why? I don't understand. Just the nuggets represented more calories than I've had in the last two days, combined.

Boy, am I on the right side of this bet. Processed garbage, meet garbage pail kid.
Seriously, Mission, I'm loving the scientific methodology being applied to your training regimen.
And you've set a date and place, huh? That's the D in Las Vegas? Details, please!
Life needs balance.
Quote: BuzzardIn the interest of balance, I will watch a professional hockey team today instead of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

I'm still eating this pizza, but I forgot all about the fact that I am helping someone campaign for Trustee today, so after eating all of this stuff, I am going to walk FIVE MILES, approximately, knocking on doors...then I will do some sit-ups.
I think I might even have a glass or two of wine tonight, just because.
Thanks for the compliment, BeachBumBabs, the idea is that I don't need to eat 100 McNuggets to train, not when it's better to do things that are even more difficult for my stomach to handle. Just no raw eggs, can't do that, never could.

I appreciate that, Face! I probably won't eat much tomorrow, bowl of cereal, tops. Still trying to lose that weight, so today won't help.

In the interest of factual information, I will remind our viewers that The Toronto Maple Leafs are in first place in the NHL ;)
OMG... I've never said those words out loud before o.O
Hell, if the Leafs are in first, then Mission is surely going to eat 100 with ease. Stranger thing have happened are happening.
Does this board have the capability of a webcast? It would be simply ripping to see this live! Maybe a little left-over bandwidth at the end of the year for a forum Christmas/festivus/Chanukkah present?

No problem. Also, kudos on the sit-ups. I don't think I've done 200 sit ups in my life

Thanks! I've got to do something to make up for the fact that I am going to top 4k in calories today. Still more calories in 100 Nuggets, which is why I had to compensate by mixing raw meat and dairy before eating them.
MMMMM.....Fish Milk.

This isn't a fact. 3-0 > 3-1. Watching the Blues game (who are 3-0 along with the Avs, Sharks, and Penguins) last night was awesome though.

It's probably too much trouble to do on this forum, but maybe we can ask Ahigh to broadcast it on his channel.

Hey Mission, what a coincidence, I will be in Las Vegas at that time to See you in action as my wife loves the Dome and I play at the Last casino left side just after the dome ends. I'll have to pop in that day: That is awesome.

When I 1st saw Varmenti post , I was thinking which members should get a piece of that.
Now that there is a chance(I figure 2pm or later would work for me) I may witness and videotape, my suggestion is those who attend from this board should get a piece of Varmenti's generous offer. After all , its just a drop in the bucket considering all that he has won at Bac.

I think I'll settle for another 100 of the Wizard's action and let y'all chase varmenti's phantom non-bet charity thingy. Wizard, I'm now YES on Mission for 200, same terms, assuming you haven't accepted a bet off the public record that filled your dance card. Mission, I hope you've left yourself a day for jet lag before you do this....
