Alex Karras, former NFL player, and MNF announcer passed away today. He also is remembered for his portrayal of "Mongo" in Mel Brooks' iconic comedy, "Blazing Saddles".
Without looking it up to verify, please indicate which of Karras' co-stars from Blazing Saddles you recall as still alive today?
Cleavon Little
Gene Wilder
Slim Pickens
Harvey Korman
Madeline Kahn
Mel Brooks (fourth from the right)

His fam has a huge lawsuit against the NFL,
saying Karras's extreme dementia in the last
15 years came from getting hit in the head so
many times playing football. I guess he was
forced to play against his will?

Pretty sure Gene Wilder is still with us. Kahn, no. Slim Pickens, pretty sure not. Brooks, yes. Little and Korman, no idea.

Cleavon Little died 20 years ago, Harvey Korman, a couple
years ago.

I think it's just Gene and Mel around these days.

I saw Blazing Saddles in the theatre. Mid 70's, I was
shocked at the frequent use of the N word. It really
wasn't that funny. The audience laughed far more
at the boob and fart humor. Its a crude movie, but
Mel Brooks is a crude person. I can't think of one
Brooks movie thats not offensive in some way. I
suppose Young Frankenstein is OK, but barely.

High Anxiety. Great flick.
Thing is, though, if you don't like Mel Brooks movies, you won't even bother to sift through to find the one you might like. I can't stand Adam Sandler. I hear he's a nice guy, but I can't stand his act. I've heard he has some good work, but I'm not interested in finding it. Too much bother, too much other stuff I know I'll like waiting in queue.

Anger Management is good, because it has Jack Nickolson.
And the one where Sandler plays a dying comic is pretty
good. He has a tendency to make some pretty stupid movies,
however.

Mel Brooks (fourth from the right)
The red-head on the right is familiar... but not sure who... maybe Carol Wayne or Carol Cleveland (both would be wearing a wig)? Not sure if the answer is the name in link, that name not familiar.
Some people need to reimagine their thinking.
