As there are no actual spoiler tags here, spoilers have to be created manually by changing the text color to the background.
Fortunately, this isn't one of those boards where the background color changes with every other reply; setting the text to white seems to work fine.
However, it would look better if the spoiler was in its own block. I was considering just changing the background color to, say, yellow, and then setting the spoiler text to the same color, but you get this:
SPOILER ALERT - Highlight the rest of this block to reveal it:
The producers of the Teen Choice Awards have the right to choose any of the nominees in the top four of the voting in a particular category as the winner
Even knowing the length of a spoiler could spoil it.
The obvious solution is a quote block:
The quote block color is #EEEEEE.

It seems to be working.
Of course...
I preffer to just leave a bunch of blank space. It's easier, if not nearly as considerate.

once you hit 'quote' you have it in text.
a bunch of blank space is not perfect, you need to leave it at the bottom too, or it gets revealed.
I like this better.

So do I. But it's not nearly as easy, even if much more considerate.

Not nearly as easy?
Hell, we got people that still can't figure out how to make a clickable link!
Mind you, the experience at other boards is that anything that looks like an URL automatically becomes a link....

Well this hand coded forum, which I still contend is a bit like building your own car given the features of the open source boards out there. It might work, but unless you spend a lot of time tinkering with it, it'll not out perform a Ford all that often.

Is there an echo in here? :)

I don't mind that. In Firefox when you highlight what looks like a link, the pop-up menu with the secondary mouse button gives you the option to: 1) open the link, 2) open the link in a new frame and 3) open the link in a new window. It takes alot longer to say this than to do it.
