Hi,

I am new to this site. I wanted to get an opinion that my regular casino cannot give me a straight answer and wanted to see what people hear think. If I play baccarat for an average on $100 and then play craps for $5 to $10 on the pass line, I would assume that my playing average would be $50 to $75 and this casino gives me a certain free bonus play based on my playing average. I play more often and longer than my wife who doesn't play craps and she winds up getting a higher bonus play. I have asked pit bosses and part time dealers/pit bosses and there is no general agreement on this. I do play bacarrat about 80% and craps at 20%. I feel that playing craps at a lower rate would lower my playing average but would it be better not to show my players card at craps and just be rated at baccarat for a shorter time? Would that increase my higher free bonus play? I understand that not showing my players card at craps would give me less comps but the free bonus play is more important to me. Opinions?

This is all VERY generally speaking:

1.). Does your wife play machines? That would explain her getting more Free Play if you only play tables.

2.) You should try to reach the Table Games Manager to see if the Craps play is hurting you. It's hard to say whether they care more about average bet or ADT, but if you are playing both games on the same day, and the house cares about ADT, then Craps only adds to that.

They may be more concerned with average bet, though.

Yes your craps is hurting you. And casinos always favor slot players over table games in terms of comps, holding all else equal.

Your craps is certainly hurting your average here, but playing baccarat isn't going to help you "gain" a solid comp value either, because you're playing games with low house edges. If you were to play $5000 through a slot machine and cash out with $4000, and play $5000 through blackjack and cash out with $4000, betting $5 on the slot and $5 on the blackjack hand, you'll get immensely higher comps sent to you as the slot player, of course, there's a LOT that goes into the valuations of a player from the marketing side of things.
