I can relate to that. I tried and tried and tried. It took me 3 years and winning a championship before I got a few. One of which gave me tires for the season. It saved me about $1900 that year.

It's too bad the videos probably cost some good coin to make. For me, actually seeing the games played really helps me learn better. I've watched the Craps videos numerous times just because I want everything to be second nature. It really helps newbies like me to be comfortable walking up to the table. Even the original Three Card Poker video was something I watched over and over, even though it's the simplest of games.

Word from my Argentinian friend. He laughed. Said my acquaintance would get more fun by burning his money than putting it in an Argentinian bank. Currency re-adjustments are frequent and annoying. He recommended Cayman Islands.

Here in Belgium, local banks are asking Americans to close their accounts. The culprit is the FACTA agreement imposed by the US govt on foreign banks, whose general idea is to work against fraud and fiscal evasion. Banks have to set up so much paperwork and verifications that they lose money on accounts held by American nationals. I know Americans residing in Brussels who are at a loss what to do. Its not quite figurehead, but more "convenient name" or "available name". Usually used for quick processing without providing documentation. Swiss banks often charge interest rather than pay it, but they are good bankers. Cayman Islands is good but NEVER use corporation in your documentation or legally ANYONE may inspect your records; be sure to use COMPANY in all documentation involving either of the Companies Acts in the Cayman Islands. This goes for anyone who uses a Cayman Islands bank or corporate shell for asset protection too. Often US citizens think they are protecting assets in a cayman islands shell but if they use the word corporation they are "you know where and without that paddle".

As for banking internationally, since you are fully disclosing it, I believe you might be able to reflect a loss on your taxes here in the states. That's worth looking into since you had to writedown savings during the banking crisis overseas. Personally, I would have stuck with a major international bank that has brick and mortar both in the states and internationally (JPMorgan, HSBC, etc).
The main thing is to get your money back. Physically going there seems to be an interesting proposal. Showing up at a branch and making an on-demand withdrawal could result in 2 possibilities. You get your money back or they deny you in person. The latter would be horrific. I would first try the ATM and then go to a teller:

At least on my computer, the opening page has a lot of blank dark gray margin on both sides. Could that space be used more effectively ? I also think it might help to have something in large font on the home page that says something like:

I have seen a few people suggest you use or wonder why you were not using a normal bank.
I would guess that since the US is not friendly towards online gambling that It was easier to make Bovada affiliate income transactions smother.

Things are looking a little better on the Cyprus front. Of course, I won't believe anything until the money is in one of my US accounts, but the guy there said I could put in a wire request for most of my money. Now let's just hope they honor it.
I've thought about doing something like what VideoPoker.com does, where they have ads you're forced to watch unless you buy a premium membership. I would also try to think of some other stuff extra stuff I could give the VIP members, but I'm not sure what.
If I get get the Cyprus money in the next 30 days I should be okay to buy more time to get advertising revenue up. There are plenty of sites much worse that min, in my opinion, that make much more money. My problem is monetizing the traffic.

If I get get the Cyprus money in the next 30 days I should be okay to buy more time to get advertising revenue up. There are plenty of sites much worse that min, in my opinion, that make much more money. My problem is monetizing the traffic.

We could be in the same situation if American banks have failed. We got a massive debt, but, at least, our banks have been saved.

I recall Next Shot.. a site about craps by The Boneman.... then his daughter took it over and allowed adds in the margin... undoubtedly increased revenue markedly.

Good to hear. Nothing is more frustrating than honest people who work hard getting screwed for XYZ reason (usually getting back to the government...but I digress).

This sound like a pretty good idea. I would worry about getting quality impressions/clicks in the non-VIP section, but I guess there are probably a lot of cheap folks out there!
