Diamond Lounge Hours Cut at Caesars Windsor

I was very dismayed/POed to discover today that Caesars Windsor has decided to close their Diamond Lounge from Monday to Thursday. (The days I typically get to visit) It will only be open from Fri to Sun and occasional show days.

So if any you visit CW be aware.
I have already written to complain.

That's horrible. I can see if they don't open until 3 or 4 and close for lunch but to not open at all is plain sucky.

Your diamond status really means little enough as it is to them. The exclusive lounge and free drinks at check-in are available only when their rooms are most expensive, their extended weekends. So they charge more for the room but they give you a mint for your pillow. Great!!

They reduced the size of the glass they use for pop/soda ..want you to drink water instead of ordering another pop which likely costs them about 5 cents.

The buffet is a total joke with such a small choice of food.... i suggest you have the fellas do a stir fry up for you if you want FRESH FOOD to eat .... they make it as you wait. The Italian food section has almost zero choices just like the Chinese section.

Now if you eat at Legends DO NOT ORDER the ribs.... they are boiled in a bag and tossed on the grill for a few minutes ( the worse ribs I have ever eaten ) and they only charge you like $20 for them

Erie street is a short 5 minutes away ( out of the parking garage onto the one way Glengary street heading south third set of traffic lights is Erie Street for REAL Italian food in the city's Little Italy ...also located on Erie St is my old neighbors rib place http://tommysbarbq.com/ his parents used to own the famous Tunnel Bar B Que rib place which is now gone

treated my brother when he was in town last year to dinner here ..he ordered his regular Nachos and when it arrived he looked at the plate and something was different, something was missing from his order...called the waitress over and said something is missing from my order she looked at it and you could see she realized right away she forgot to make sure he noticed the change on the NEW MENU that just came out that week.....

They are bringing a SPAGOS dinning place into the Casino shortly ( its how they offer food there now without having to supply the workers ... renting out space like Johhny Rockets burgers) Spagos is located on ERIE STREET and is one of the main Italian food places

The last time I was in Windsor, this was their players card.

I can see how disappointing this would be. It's not fair after you've "paid" for something to not get it by having the terms changed.

Perhaps a certain craps dealer there will be putting in a bid to buy the joint and run it right.

This was their response to my complaint.....

"Thank you for writing to us at Caesars Windsor.
We appreciate you taking the time to voice your concerns regarding our Diamond Lounge. We have adjusted the Diamond Lounge hours to better align our total restaurant offerings and trends. The Diamond Lounge will be open Friday through Sunday. We also encourage you to try Neros, Artist Cafe, Market Buffet, Legends, Pronto Cafe and the lounge on weekend and holiday visits."

The Diamond Lounge here in Windsor was the main reason I pushed to be Diamond again. It is also somewhat useful in Vegas as far as a quicker check in process, free show tickets, shorter lines etc.

I certainly wouldn't call Caesars Windsor a dump. The rooms are very nice, as is the pool area and work out room. They have great entertainment. They have a good selection of slots. I agree that there is better food on Erie Street but not everyone wants to be bothered leaving the building.

In fairness- I have had diamond and seven star and never once used the lounge other then to scope it out- I find them depressing.
The titanium as birgata is an exception .

Mostly mid level players I would think and most of the ones that frequent the lounge are probably only barely diamond. I would much rather eat at a full serve choice menu then a lounge where I'm offfrred very little selection.
I mean on a. Basic diamond level players which would require 75k coin in for the year on slots roughly - if you are a twice a month player that is 3k coin in per trip- Which means you are lucky to have an add of 200 dollars.
Most casino will not roll out the red carpet at this level.
So often people overestimate their true value to the casino in terms of dollars and cents

Are you saying they wouldn't comp a Diamond player $10-20 to eat at one of their other establishments?

Oh, they probably would, but then the high-class Diamond player might have to dine beside the riff-raff folks, such as me. What's the point in being Diamond if you can't get something exclusive?

Diamond lounges should be like the ones in AC - it's $10 if you're diamond to get in but if you have over 40k TC or something like that it's free. As any Joe Blow with a credit card can get diamond nowadays they have to raise the level, maybe 80k TC or something for Vegas.

Can't get diamond if they deactivated your account. Bunch of vindictive a-holes.

But that is not the point. They are the ones that made these lounges. When they start to take things away then they have devalued their program. Imo they should either completely take them away and not have them part of a perk or raise the point total to something like 30k to qualify. How is it fair to a player to limit a stated reward? So if I only visit on tuesday and Wednesday but someone else only goes on a friday, that person now gets a better benefit than then tuesday player for the same level.

Talk to Tropicana who will remove freeplay and cut offers and comps after one trip of no play
Cet could go that route and remove your diamond status if you came to the lounge and didn't play that day

Players only want a red carpet if other players at their level are getting red carpets.

Put 200.00 into a slot machine twice a month and be a Diamond? Then the fault is CET's.

Casinos like to fine tune their comps and mailers.... but its hard to "fine tune" anything.

One must remember Caesars does not own the casino in Windsor....they obtain a FEE for running the place for the Ontario government.

lets see if the casino reads this site ...how long will it take for them to correct this on total rewards customer help page

LOL re the menu. I was there on Sunday and I thought "Hotdogs? Really?" I have never seen them serve hot dogs before. But my daughter pointed out that it was likely because it was Superbowl Sunday. I think she is probably right.

They are happy to know people thought it was because of the big game...... but the truth be told it was what can we serve at the least cost....what can we serve that will cause them to dine elsewhere ( at a profit to the casino)
