As some of you may recall, or perhaps not, I was at Mount Airy Casino in PA for the official opening roll of their craps table, the day PA finally allowed casino table games.
So this past week, while visiting friends in PA, I found out Tioga Downs was having their grand opening for table games on Thursday at 3:00 PM. I couldn't resist adding another opening day to my resume, so my wife and I went at 5:00PM.
Fairly small casino. They still had not finished converting from the old lottery style slots, to the real slots, so I'd guess they only had about 1/3 of their slots open. Two craps tables, one $10, one $5, both open, 3x-4x-5x odds. One Pai Gow Poker, some 3 card and 4 card poker, and a dozen or so BJ tables. I was too lazy to count the tables, or even check the BJ rules.
Wife went to play Pai Gow while I hit the $5 craps table. Lost my 'investment', went to Pai Gow, borrowed $20 from my wife's stack, parlayed it into $125, paid her back, and took $105 to craps table. Donated that too. Killed some more time, then tried craps one last time. Played for about an hour at break even, betting $16/$17 Inside, plus $5 PL with $15 odds . Came time for a final roll, so I decided to bet on the old man who had been rolling pretty good every time. $5 PL + $25 odds, and $130 across plus a $2 vig. Shooter rolls a five and THEN seven out. fml. I end up down about $150 more.
I am pretty certain that I HATE craps. Nay, make it 100% POSITIVE I HATE CRAPS.
Overall, the dealers I played with were very good for break-in dealers. The craps dealers were actually very good. Much better than break-ins at Cherokee. The main dealer at Pai Gow was good, the relief dealer was okay, but slower than molasses in December in New York.
Interesting note. They allow player banking at Pai Gow! My bet is this will not last long. They will eliminate it

I'm getting a certain picture here.

There could have been another game or two. Total table games was probably between 20 and 30. Because the slot floor was not completed, I think they had the tables jammed in a bit. It was certainly hard enough to move around, and bumping into people was not avoidable.
Hopefully someone else will visit and give a better report on the table games.

Cool, thank you.
Thanks for report on Tioga Downs.
I plan to head up there (about 1 1/2 hour drive) early in the new year.
Do you LOVE or HATE craps? I guess it could be both.
However, for the past 2 years I am DEFINITELY 100% on the HATE side. At least from the craps side, the game certainly is hating on me.
