Mini-Review of Puerto Rico casinos

I'm in San Juan on vacation for the next couple of days.

the casinos I'm reviewing are in Condado, one of the nicer parts of San Juan.

All of these casinos are on Ashford Ave.
Some things in common:
- Craps is 2x odds, $5min, Field only pays double on the 12
- BJ pay 3:2, dealer stands on all 17s
- Didnt know how they would feel about pics so I played it safe and didn't take any.

1) Condado Plaza Hilton + Casino (999 ashford Ave)
Casino is located on the Mezz (up the escalators)
- small, no vp

2) La Concha (Renaissance) hotel & casino (Casino del Mar)
1077 ashford Ave
- bigger and nicer than the Condado Plaza
- 4 gameking vp by the front door. multigame, multi-denom. I just looked at JoB and it was horrible. 6/5 even at $25lvl!

3) Marriott Resort + Stellaris Casino (1309 ashford Ave)
biggest + nicest of the casinos in this review.
10 gameking .25 vp machines but no JoB! has dw (3flush/4boat), db, ddb, and triple bp plus

4) Radisson hotel + casino (1369 ashford ave)
almost as big as Marriott but it's mostly slots. no craps and the 3 gameking vp machines were not on.


I've read that the Diamond palace hotel + casino is closed. (55 avenida)
I've also read that the Hotel San Juan casino in isla verde (east of Condado) is the best casino in San Juan. hopefully i'll get a chance to visit it.

There's also a casino at 200 convention blvd (by the convention center/Pan Am pier) called the Sheraton Puerto rico. unfortunately, I don't think i'll have time to visit here.

Sheraton hotel & casino in old San Juan (near Pier 3):
no craps table but six $0.25 game king vp machines w/a variety of games.

the JoB is 8/5 progressive! THe jackpot was at $1700.
by itself, it's ~98.7% but should I add 1% more since that's how much the jackpot goes up by?

Other games weren't progressive and I didn't check the type of games for HE.

8/5 JoB is a 97.3% game and 55-25-8-5 is a 97.35% return game. 9/5 JoB is only a 98.45% game.

According to Wizard's analyzer, you're getting 98.8625% on 8/5 with a 6800 coin Progressive and 55/25/8/5 is 98.9168%.

I still wouldn't be shocked if that's one of the better VP games you find, though.

also known as Casino Metro.

easy walk from Pan American pier.
Large but somewhat cramped in certain spots.
About 1/3 slots are modern.
No vp. :(

About a dozen table games including freebet bj.
Craps table is double 12 and has small/tall/all side bet.
Craps table was closed and there was no plaque so don't know minimums or odds

Has 9/6 ddb video poker in both .25 and $1 bet levels
