Stayed here this past weeked for a golf tournament. The rooms have been updated with new carpet and some furnishings and lamps.
Bathrooms had nothing done which was suprising. Toilet seat even had a crack in it. Seriously guys??

Overall the casino seemed dated but newer machines and great service at all the bars and restaurants we ate at which keeps them on my list for Reno.

Nightclub is closed. Bigger plyrs seem to hang out in the Gold Room for pre drinks and a VP rip and then down to Silver Leg's club or lounge after. I used a $50 comp I had for Pearl Oyster bar which was fantastic. And I've eaten at Wynn and Cosmo on $500 comps before.

HL room at Eldo could use newer games. Silver Leg is a bit better. But still night and day compared to Vegas.

I had overheard Grand Sierra Resort is the place to go now. Taken over by the bank too so trying to get players.

I did pop into Peppermill and was really impressed. Elegantly redone and $1 Pinball slot on the main floor that I popped on the way out.

Hope this helps anyone heading to Reno.

I prefer Silver Legacy to Eldorado but admit that the Gold Room at Eldorado is a nice perk.

Sadly, flights from Las Vegas to Reno have gotten ridiculous lately. I have a trip scheduled soon and it is $324 per person for a one hour flight that used to be a $98 round trip. Southwest basically has a monopoly on that route with the exception of one direct flight per week from Allegiant. Reno Air used to fly that route but I believe they were bought buy American Airlines many years ago and discontinued it.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

I had heard that too. Its a hard sell to leave Vegas for Reno unless you're
going on a Tahoe ski trip or golf this time of year. Everyone Ive ever talked to up there
was from NorCal, Sac or some tiny town around there and they drive in.
I had to park almost on the roof of Eldo's garage Friday...

CalNeva's 4.99 steak and eggs is always a ritual and Cin Cin was making some
tastey Rum drinks on special I had one too many of.

Silver Leg redid their HL room also. Looks nice but only $5 Top Dollar. Thats main floor on the strip.

Back to Cosmo or Wynn for this guy next play.
