We have played at this casino once, probably 5-6 years ago. At that time, they had poker and slots. No other table games. I hated it. My wife likes slots but I prefer table games. I am not a poker player yet.
It appears they have added table games but it looks like there is no roulette or craps. Can anyone verify that?
We are thinking about stopping there on the way down to the Keys in June...just want to decide whether it will be worth it or not for the entertainment value...
Thanks!

Hey Ron,
That is my main hangout. They have blackjack, pai gow poker, let it ride, 3-card, etc....any card game you can think of. The florida legislature has limited to them to electronic games or games dealt with cards only, so no craps or roulette or pai gow tiles. I think they have virtual roulette (computer-screen wheel) and maybe a few shufflemaster virtual BJ machines.
Blackjack starts out at $10, H17, DAS, Aces get one card and cannot be split, no surrender. The $10 can only be had weekday mornings, however. Though they promise to have them all the time, on weekend nights they actually have lines to play them. Friday or saturday night, there are a handful of $15 tables, again all are full, so most play $25 to $50 a hand on those mediocre rules (if memory serves me right, the higher limit tables are shoe-based, but with the same rules. Lower tables are CSM).
Hope this helped. The complex has grown, and actually feels like a little bit of vegas in Fort Lauderdale now, with many shops, restaurants, bars, a concert venue, and a comedy club.

Thank you very much for the info. While I would prefer craps to card games, I guess I will bone up on my basic strategy and try some blackjack. Maybe even mini-bac depending on the limits... Even without my favorite games, this is much better for us as a couple than just slots. I guess most people are either table or slot players; she hates the tables (I have to drag her to do her match plays) and I am not a fan of slots (she can have all of my free play!). Poker just wasn't enough, so we drove by the last time we flew to FLL. We'll try to hit it at low-limit time if at all possible!!
The last few trips we have taken direct flights to Key West but the combination of higher-than-average airfares and those darned baggage fees have us looking at FLL this year. The place we go to is in Marathon. The main purpose of the trip is fishing (our room comes with a boat we can take in the ocean or bay) but it is always nice to get a little play in when we can...and at least Seminole Hard Rock is on the way. We have to drive 3 hours to Lake Charles in order to play "around here" (Houston, TX).

Key West airport is crazy, and flights from South Florida run as high as flights from South Florida to just about anywhere in the country. They really push blackjack, so finding a $15 at the other games (mini-bac) is usually not as much of a problem as it is at BJ.

My wife and I are visiting Ft. Lauderdale the first week of June. Is the video poker at Seminole Hard Rock any good?

Not last time I was there, though I'm a bit of an amateur, so I can't say for certain. I found the payouts at the pari-mutuels at Gulfstream Park and Mardi Gras Casino (both 8 miles away or so), or Calder (10 miles) to all be higher at the $1 level.
