I've noticed when going into the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa the house edge is notched pretty good.

Examples: $10 minimum tables are rare and $5 are non existant.. you can usually find $15 minimums while asian tables usually sit at $20 minimum.. but on the busy nights it can be rare to find a blackjack or bac table less then $25 minimums.

Blackjack uses 8 decks, auto shuffler, no surrender, hit on soft 17

tri-card poker offers a 100 to 1 mini-royal and 50-1 straight flush BUT reduces the flush from 4-1 to 3-1 which more then makes up for the other two.

One thing I liked that Ive not seen much mention of is that the let it ride tables had not only the $1 sucker bet bonus but also had the same pair-plus bonus that tri-card poker had.. I liked that a bit as I think as good as the pair plus bet is most of the time on tri-card poker (at least with a full pay flush) isnt it even more tempting on the odds of the let it ride table?? - also about let it ride in houses edge is that the max pay out is $40,000 AND minimum bet is always $10 or $15 sometimes it can be higher.

Bacara (spelling) did have the usual 5% commision as did pai-gow so I guess they were not really worse then usual.

I was just noticing the advantaged play they were taking with the house edge.. I think the simple change on tri-card was really in thier favor not only for the house edge going up a good bit but also from a layman or unwise person looking at it they may think 'gee, 50-1 for SF and 100-1 MINI.. and I only give up 1 extra coin on each flush.. sounds like a deal" which I knew enough to calculate the odds myself.. I dont remember what I came up with at the time though.

Are must indian casinos this stiff wiht the edge, or maybe its because FL has no state regulations and technically type III is still not allowed except the Govornor 'said so' and the tribe took full advantage.

You can expect this due to lack of competition alright.

Also, there are Indian Casino detractors out there who point to various areas of seeming arrogance, such as uncertified gaming control, even more arbitrary dispute settlement, etc.

The minimums are out of control, but since they control demand...

I noticed the higher-min. tables were shoe dealt, but with the same mediocre rules. After having recently played in Vegas, the rules don't seem that harsh at $10, but at $25 a hand, Vegas is better. Vegas is far though.

The indians are not required to release their slot payouts either, and most estimates are that it is quite low. Fort Lauderdale area has 4 pari-mutuel based casinos (slot only) which have to release their payouts.
