Hey guys, I'm going to Atlantic City for a day trip with some of my friends next Saturday, going in the morning and leaving at night. Anyone know where the best low stakes craps and blackjack games are? And what kind of games they are, like the odds for craps and whether dealer hits or stands on 17 or if there are double deck blackjack games? Thanks!

$5 craps at Trump Plaza all day two Saturdays ago, 5x odds. At certain points of the day you could only really find spots at $10 tables, but the $5 tables were there.

I'm assuming by low stakes you mean $5 or $10 tables. As mentioned already the only $5 crap game I know of is the Trump Plaza...though the Atlantic Club on the very south end of the boardwalk always has low limit tables so you may want to try there as well. $5 BJ is very hard to find in AC, the places you might try are the Atl. Club, and usually the Tropicanna has $5 tables at night in their party pit area, that area doesn't get going till about 8-9pm though. If you are willing to play $10 tables they are everywhere and abudent. Pretty much all low limit games in AC are hit on S17. Double deck seems to have died in AC..there might be some but I was there last weekend and didn't see any. You can find single deck but it pays an unacceptale 6:5 on BJ. So I'd stay away from that game.

Thanks guys, just a basic question, for 5x odds craps games, you should always bet an even number, right? Since if the come out roll is a 5 or 9, the payout for odds is 3-2 for pass and 2-3 for don't pass, and you only get the full payout if you bet an even number? So for $5 craps games with 5x odds, I should still bet $6?

On point of 5 or 9 with a $5 pass bet, at 5x odds,
you can back it with any even number up to $24...

But relative to the bet, isn't it more worth it to bet $6 to back it up with $30?

There was $5 dollar 5x odds this morning(sat) at Harrahs AC. Was $5 all day yesterday too. Don't know what it was in the evening, but they had 4 tables running. BJ was $10 every where shoes, plus 6:5 single deck, but I loved the Double Attack BJ, fun game. UTH BTH MissStud Carr.Poker all $5. $10 roulette last night, $5 daytime including Sat morning/day, and always $5 rapid roulette. $15 morning/$25evening Emperor's Challenge PG. And that was with Jerry Springer on Thurs and Coolio on Friday and a MS. USA pagent (or something like that, 60 and over women parading around in sashes)

Trump Plaza is weird, sorry I didn't mention it. It's the only 5x casino I've ever played $5 at, so maybe it's normal?
Points of 4,6,8,10 are 5x.
Points of 5,9 are different.
So if you have $5 on the line... $25 for 4,6,8,10 & $30 for 5,9. I assume $10 is $50 for all, but I do not know how they work $15 or even $11. I honestly think that if you do $11 they'll let you go up to $66, but that's something you'll have to inquire about yourself.
Edit: I mentioned this elsewhere, but basically my comps amounted to 16% of my theo... but those comp dollars are used 2 to 1 for most restaurants (2 comp dollars for $1 off your meal). I basically played $100 for four hours and have yet to receive any room offer whatsoever. I mean if you want $5 tables you'll be going here, just know you'll get shit for comps.

typically on a $5 table with 5x odds you can take $30 in odds on a point of 5 or 9 with a $5 pass/come bet or lay $45 in odds on a point of 5 or 9 with a $5 dp/dc bet. $7 u can take $40 or lay $60. $9 u can take $50 or lay $75.

We're planning to go next weekend (Nov 17) traveling from LI. Of course, it will depend on the gas situation. If the gas shortage doesn't ease up and there is little confidence we can fill up before and during the trip we'll cancel and stay home. But it's still over a week away so we're optimistic.
