Anyway, Dan graciously revealed his schedule for the likely dates I had in mind. In brief, we get a choice of the 10th, 13th and 14th around 7 pm. I'm free for any of these dates but I don't have a car available (I planned to bum a ride from Doc the Gracious). So whatever you guys pick is fine. I think, though, that WoVCon ][.1 will be on the 13th, possibly, so that would be out.
We'd play whatever Dan happens to be dealing then. As I understand, that would likely mean craps but there is a chance a card-based table game as well. I'm not particular about this, either.
The all-important WoVCon designation depends on the date.
I do not know which table I'll be at (I find out at work), but usually dice, Pai Gow, Three Card Poker, or Deuces Wild hold 'em fold 'em, - the NEW version where you may check on your second bet.
If I am on Pai Gow (my fav), and if you don't know the game, I'd be happy to teach you. It's a great game, interesting hands, and very social.
DO try to play EZ Pai Gow when there, and share what you think!
Also, we have a GREAT steakhouse (Fuego steakhouse), and with a cinema complex, to break it up.
Have fun!
See you there!
It is about a half-hour from the strip, with possibly some traffic, so a dinner break might be nice.
Also, see if Wizard (Mike) can attend. He can come up with some Fiesta Trivia prop bets!
i would love to meet dan (白人男孩轮眼) in person dealing craps so i could take some shots!
and countdown the lousy blackjack tables.
KIDDING.
dan, no hard feelings.
i hope i can meet you and buy you a beer some day.
Quote: DocI am available for the 10th or 14th or could be available on the 13th if we decided on a different day to see the play downtown. There may not be many of us in town by the 10th -- at least TIMSPEED, rdw4potus, and Wavy70 will not have arrived yet. Can't remember Tiltpoul's schedule.
I arrive on the 10th in the evening. I am going to try to do a mad dash across Vegas to collect all the $1 chips I can (I know it's crazy, but it's what I'm going to do, gosh darn it!) and I think a friend of mine will be on the journey with me that evening. I'll be doing that daytime Friday as well, and meeting up at MSS at 9pm for some craps. Saturday is WoVCon, with Saturday night being relatively open, though I may try to catch some of the strip vibe. Sunday, I plan on seeing the show in the evening, with Doc and Mrs. Doc, so Sunday evening is out. Monday I fly back in the early evening, so most of my morning/early afternoon will be gambling at Rio (probably).
I will probably be out for the Fiesta trip then, sorry. Then again, you never know what will happen...
Would love to have a beer and some gambling with you: Baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold 'em, or Pai Gow Poker.
(As for dice, I've been throwing very cold lately, except when I make Don't Pass/DC bets...the dice have eyes, I tell you!)

I won't speak for Tiltpoul, but I feel bad we crushed his hopes of playing Pai Gow Tiles. I would hate myself if we took the play away from him too. So I consdier that night untouchable.

I thought of that, too. So all signs point to the 14th.
But we should let the others weigh in.

Oh don't worry about my Tiles play. I'll be getting a lot of that in, probably at Rio, since they offer it. Hopefully it's at $25 mins. Otherwise, it's back to the Strip I go to find a place to get my Tiles rolling.

I'm not worried. I just feel bad about it :)

I hear Palace Station has it at low minimums.
Anyway, when do you get in to Vegas, when do you leave, and what night's the show?

I posted all that a bit earlier... you must have missed it.

Most likely I forgot.
So I'll ask instead: will you be joining us on the Fiesta visit? and which date do you prefer?
Edited to add: Sorry, I just found your post on dates. I'm sorry you won't be abel to join us at the Fiesta.
Quote: DocI think that you and I are the only ones who will be available on the 10th. I suggest we focus on the evening of the 14th and see whether others can/will join us then. That will be my last night in town, but I have nothing else planned.
Fair enough. We can give you a good send off, too :)
So, the date is the 14th, that's a Monday, around 7 pm at the Fiesta Henderson, for whatever game Dan is dealing that night. I think Doc would prefer craps.

I have to pass, as I will be back on my flight around 5:30p, unless of course I win 10 Million Dollars, in which case, I will bump my flight back and stay an extra day.

That's my situation as well - I fly out Monday morning unless I hit it big in Vegas.
I have exchanged some PMs with Tiltpoul, and we have devised a plan we think gives more people more opportunities to get together, assuming they would want to. Here is what we have been considering:
Last we heard, Tiltpoul, my wife, and I were the only people interested in going to see The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas at the Plaza. We are now looking to revise that plan from Sunday evening to Friday evening at 7pm. The show lasts an hour and a quarter, so we will be out in plenty of time to meet folks at MSS at 9pm, though it may impact plans for hitting the buffet.
That frees us up to go to Fiesta Henderson on Sunday night the 13th, when Paigowdan is working and before Tiltpoul, rdw4potus, and perhaps some others have planned their departures.
My best guess is that Tiltpoul, rdw4potus, Nareed, TIMSPEED, Wavy70 and his wife, my wife, and I will be in town Sunday night, plus perhaps others. We could probably mount a pretty annoying crowd to embarrass Dan. Who's up for that?

When you put it like that...I'm in! :-)

I'm in.
Good thinking, BTW.

This has possibilities. Still hoping to make it on Saturday for lunch but time will tell.
For what it's worth, the original show is surprisingly clean when it comes to nudity, but this is Vegas.
If you drive to the casino at night time, it is well worth it to take the 515 to one exit south of the Fiesta. Exit Horizon, and make a u-turn, and get back on the 515 going north. From this stretch of freeway, the night time view of the Las Vegas valley is breathtaking. The next exit (Lake Mead Pkwy.) will take you right to the front of the Fiesta.

Give a prize to the first one who finds the seam in the casino carpet that delineates the Station Casinos expansion.
I always thought the view when you come down out of Railroad Pass is one of the great "reveals" of all time.Quote: tuppIf you drive to the casino at night time, it is well worth it to take the 515 to one exit south of the Fiesta.
