Hey all, unfortunately a few weeks ago my grandfather passed away. What a great friend and teacher he was to me. He was a gambler and a Vegas connoisseur. My first trip to Vegas was with him my grandmother and my parents, and he definitely showed me the way. We buried him in his poker shirt, his lucky Fitzgerald's driving cap, and a royal flush of Fitz cards in his front pocket (per his request, He won over $7000 there about 15 years ago on a progressive VP machine, needless to say it was his fav. spot.)

Anyways while going through his things I have come across some cool items, I know some of you here are collectors of chips and Vegas memorabilia and what not so I decided to share and I am hoping to get more information about the items. Preliminary searches online have resulted in little information. To start I found a $5 chip to Sans Souci Casino, one I have never heard of til I looked it up, I believe the Mirage now sits on the property where that casino once was. I also found some $1 gaming tokens, a few from the Frontier which I know won't have much interest for some years to come, but I also found two gold $1 tokens from Binion's. Both tokens have Jack Binion on the front and one has "777" on the back while the other has a royal flush in spades on the back. I also found some old silver dollar coins, one is a 1921 Morgan Silver dollar, and the other two are 1922 and 1923 "Peace" silver dollars.

Thanks for reading, just wanted to share to see if there was any interest or any more information anyone can tell me about any of them, (the Sans Souci seems to be the hardest to acquire info on) Looking forward to responses.

My condolences to you and your family. I am glad that your grandfather was able to go out, "his way", and left you with many dear memories.

As for the old chips, chipguide.com may have some helpful info for you. There are also many completed listings on Amazon.

Edit: The gold "777" is a dollar slot token from the 90's:

I think you meant eBay; if so, checking eBay for completed listings is a very good way to find close to the going price for a particular chip. In addition to chipguide.com, see also:
