And the father is where, exactly. He must have 6 jobs to pay the child support. Cute kids, at least she'll be supported in her old age.

Perhaps everyone would be better served if she kept the rest of children from having kids as kids.

Just because someone wants something does not mean they should have it!!

Yes, she will find someone. There is someone who will get her pregnant again--but will he stay around to support the kid????

With that many children to look after, she has no time to date a man first.

All joking aside, she looks nice and all her children appear to be nice looking. I don't see any tattoos or gang signs or the like. Its a group portrait ... no one was missing because they were in jail or juvie or something.

Good luck to her.

Let me clarify this. I was being very frank, as opposed to politically correct, and in a "talking among us here" spirit. I am not always positive.
I am a crap dealer, and a crap player, and a game inventor, - and I will be the very first to call myself a part of this crap-playing afficionado group.
I've met some very decent folk at the crap tables...but I can be very harsh and mean-spirited about current issues that I find somewhat absurd.
As for being a single patent with a family like that, I also cannot judge, but Do have opinions.

She seems decent in the photos, - and who are we to judge? Fourteen kids, no husband, and on public assiatance are just incidentals that we might wrongfully judge her on. We do not know her life.

Divorce three years ago. With that many small children paying for childcare so she could go out to work would be impossible and it is far cheaper to have her on welfare anyway. She seems to be doing a good job raising the kids so why put them into the virus-spreading and violence-spreading day care system.

Maybe I was raised under a different value system, but I'm not sure that raising your kids well includes having three daughters who got pregnant before the age of 18 as being responsible. Actually, according to the article, Mariah at 15! is pregnant. I know the family portrait is dressed up to make a good statement, but that woman looks in too good of shape and has too nice of a dress for me to feel sorry for her. Those kids look like they're doing all right, so maybe she is doing fine, but I have a really big problem with somebody living off the system under those circumstances.

Furthermore, she wants to have ANOTHER kid??? Octomom got LAMBASTED for having eight at once, and not being the mother she should be. Kate Gosselin has an interesting brood on her hands. Maybe this woman needs (or wants) her own reality show. That makes the whole thing sicker. Obviously, if there's press coverage on this, she's seeking an audience more so than just a man.

If she wants to raise a family properly, she needs to take after the Duggars; yeah it may be a bit extreme, but they are a self-supporting family.

Random thoughts:

1. - She has held her figure very well for being pregnant that much!
2. - With the birth rate in 3rd world countries far outpacing that our developed countries, it's nice to see someone here trying to even the odds a little bit.
3. - I hate that she's getting public assistance. If you can't afford to work and raise your kids on your own, then don't have them!
4. - Seems to me if her oldest daughters hadn't gotten knocked up too early, they could have helped with the child care for the younger ones.
5. - Looks like she started off with normal names and began to get more 'creative' with the younger ones. Nerilly-Jade & Febrianne? Really?

She seems a little unusual. Obviously loves children. I'm sure there's a man out there for her that loves children as much as she does. Mazel-tov!

In terms of picking names she started well, with normal names that were not too trendy: Natasha to Georgia.

The next too were very trendy names for their age: Brittany and Caitlin. Such names don't appear so high on the Social Security baby name lists because there are dozens of ways to spell them. babycenter.com endeavors to group various spellings of the same name together, for what I feel is a much better list.

Then we get into the hyphenated names, another trend that annoys me. First names are supposed to be short, simple, and easy to remember. If you want to get creative, use the middle name for that. When I started with Social Security, taking claims, the computer couldn't handle the hyphen in names and we had to process such claims through a more manual and time-consuming process. Ever since then I shudder when I see a hyphen in a name.

Then Armani. Barf. What's next Versace? Fendi?

Then Tallulah. Too creative, but she could have done worse.

Indianna. Two things here that bother me. Enough with naming people after places, and you're not fooling anybody with the two n's. At least the girl will have something in common with older sister Georgia.

Overall, my favorite name is the first, Natasha. Least favorite, Nerilly-Jade.

wait a minute, maybe these are fine British names.

I'd like to think reforms of the American welfare system, making you get work, can stop this. As it is, one article quotes her: "she has still managed to squirrel away enough cash for a £1,600 breast enhancement and a sunbed."

PS if I understand who the 15 yr old is in the main pic, she certainly would fool me... looks of age and quite hot. Of course she is trying to look like that

My apologies. I thought she was an American. Only here would I expect to see such a story. I must admit some comfort in the fact that my taxpayer dollars are not the ones supporting her.

Thank Elohim that never happens in the United States!

Long-time observers of the FLDS say the confusion is part of a long-standing strategy of trying to wrongfoot the authorities. In fact, the FLDS has long had an overt policy of trying to sting the government for everything it can – in the form of food stamps, tax breaks and subsidies. An FLDS member will generally declare his first marriage and take the tax benefit, then let his subsequent wives claim welfare as unemployed single mothers. Down the years, the church has earned hundreds of millions of dollars in public funds this way, a process it describes derisively as "bleeding the beast".

That woman is just a breeding machine. It's nuts that she wants more.

Well, then the story that went viral about L-ah would probably make your head explode.

Oy! It'd like to see the actual birth certificate, but in that article they used a hyphen, not a dash.

That story about Le-ah is truly funny.

Reminds me of the famous mother in Gin Lane

That is what females are considered to be in much of the world.
> It's nuts that she wants more.
For much of the history of this country a woman's desires for more children were not relevant.
