Asia is correct continent
Countries:1) Maylaysia, 2) United Arab Emirates (Dubai is one of the emirates), 3) China is correct (need two more).
Cities: 1) Kuala Lumpur, 2) Dubai, and 3)Shanghai are correct (need four more).
The opening of one of the highest buildings in the world used to be a world event, but the speed at which they are building them in Asia is incredible today. Over half of the 100 tallest buildings in the world have opened since 9-11.

The other two countries are Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia
The other four cities are Taipei, Mecca, Nanjing, and Hong Kong
Every city in Asia now wants to have a signature building for their skyline. In China plans are underway for tall buildings in Beijing , Shenzhen, Tianjin , Dalian , Guangzhou , Shenyang , Wuhan , Tianjin, Kunming , Changzhou , Chongqing , Wuxi and Jiangyin. In Taiwan the city of Kaohsiung ; in India the city of Mumbai ; in Korea Seoul and Busan; in Vietnam Hanoi, and in the Middle East in Kuwait City, Riyadh, Jeddah and Abu Dhabi ; as well as the plans to complete over 10 buildings in Dubai.
In Moscow (CN) they are building the Mercury City Tower which will equal the height of the Empire State building, but in the EU only London is planning the London Shard (which will barely make the top 100). Plans for more ambitious buildings have been halted.
The USA is, of course, replacing the World Trade Center, which will keep us in the top 10 buildings for a few years.
The European Union will finally join the 1000' club with London Shard (2 years)
