Ok, so, silly blog. But I was just curious. I'm new on here and it seems to be a forum full of dudes. Since I'm one who doesn't like to assume things, I thought I'd find out what percentage on here is male and what percentage is female. Now, of course, this is not a scientific poll since it is only limited to who actually votes. But what the hey?
Nonetheless I'm curious. (And yes, I am female!)

Unknown to you I'm sure: recently we found out there is a sizable proportion of "regulars" at this forum who are gay. And I have to tell you I was *not* assuming from your user name that your were female! So it is good to know.

Actually I had an idea about the gay community on here since I saw a seperate section in the forum for gay, lesbian and transgendered people. I myself am not gay, and I am accepting of those who are. Just a single heterosexual female living in L.A. But see, I could've been some tall lanky gay dude with spikey bleached hair calling myself HotBlonde, but I am not. Sizable? I only know of Nicksgamingstuff and Nareed but they are openly. How did you find out about the sizable proportion?
Also, it seems to me any woman who would call herself "hot" in my experience is high maintenance. However, that hotblonde has an interest in gambling and the mathematics of it is pretty cool.

A poll I ran indicated a 25% GLBT (including those answering "not sure") among respondents. Thus far no one else has come out.

Ok I just looked at your poll. This isn't being critical at all, but I wonder if the results are skewed a bit by the title of the poll, because many straight people may have no interest in reading about your poll while GLBT people would be more interested and want to read it.

I remember or imagined reading an article maybe a year ago on this and the only part I recall was thinking it was odd but was it to do w antioxidants? I know they are responsible for everything.

Yes.
As to "full of dudes" .... I think many sites related to gambling would have a preponderance of males as active posters. In a poker room, females tend to remain relatively quiet and simply take a man's money. I think its on the more touristy sites related to Las Vegas that females tend to be more vocal and discuss hotels, shows, restaurants, etc.

I learned in biology class that hair and nails never stop growing. Though the myth that they keep growing for a time after death is not accurate. I suppose hair growth may slow down with age, or even that some hair dies off, but women, and men, can keep on growing long hair well into their senior years.
Many women adopt shorter hairstyles as they age because shorter hair requires less work to maintain and style; it also looks better absent plastic surgery.
So, no jokes about hydrogen peroxide fumes? ;)

I guess I'll confess to being female now...
My hair is a weed. I kept it down to my waist until the day before I turned 40, then chopped it up to my shoulder blades. But I had my 4th child right before I turned 41, so I guess I kept the hair and fertility later than most. I've gone from platinum as a child to dark blonde at 47.
Fertility is overrated, though. :P
