This thread may be or seems to be a good place to find movie-recommendations.

I finally get some spare times to watch this movie and documentary

At the moment, I am eagerly anticipating Spaceballs 2: the Search for More Money, God willing.
May the cards fall in your favor.

Gotta hang on for another 2 years. Hope they film Mel Brooks' part first!

I've been on a medieval Asian kick lately, so if epic battles are your thing, I've a few good picks.

They should make a movie about Charlemagne's battle in China. He actually did get that far, mounted of course, with a company of Frankish knights.

During the battle a heroic Chinese infantryman knocked Charlemagne off his mount with a polearm, stripped him of his chain mail, donned it himself and proceeded to lead a foot charge that routed the Franks, forcing their retreat.

This led to one of Charlemagne's rare military defeats, and possibly the worst joke ever told.

I was very disappointed in this movie, I found it disjointed and boring. I lasted maybe 20 minutes and said Phooey and quit watching.

I was really looking forward to Oppenheimer, but was disappointed by it. I think I was expecting more of a documentary, of course that was my mistake as people would have no interest in seeing a documentary at the theater.

I don't know what I was expecting, but it certainly wasn't a disjointed mess which is what that movie is. How it got so many awards is a mystery to me, how anybody sat through the whole thing is a mystery to me.

I just finished watching The Accountant 2.
It took me three sessions to finish it, which should give you a few hints how much I liked it.
I found the first movie interesting but very flawed. This one minimized the interesting but multiplied the flaws. I think they were trying for satire, while still accommodating the significant gun/loud explosion segment of the audience.

I avoid anything starring Ben Affleck, life is too short.

If you didn't watch Good Will Hunting, you missed what I consider one of the best movies ever.

I've seen it five times and Ben Affleck is a minor character. Him and Matt Damon wrote it, that was Ben Affleck's claim to fame.

I just saw The Accountant 2 and the cameramen spent the entire movie trying to minimize the number of times that you saw Ben Affleck's body. They kept showing co-star Jon Bernthal's body, who is slender and fit and Ben Affleck's shoulders and head.

Basically, Ben Affleck now looks like Al Gore. Affleck looks like a Macy's Day Parade balloon version of himself. I think he is going the way of Orson Welles, of Marlon Brando -but only in weight, not in acting skills.

For a horrible moment I thought you meant his naked body. Shudder.

If you appreciate weirdness, you might like Army of One. An over-the-top Nick Cage is a New Jersey handyman who is on a mission from God. Based on a real-life incident where someone flew into Pakistan and wandered around the countryside looking for Bin Laden, armed with a samurai sword.
It is not a good movie, but I enjoyed most of it.

Re:
Nick Cage's
Army of one

I looked for a DVD for it @ACPL.

The librarian Lily said ACPL didn't order it

However
I've found 2 DVDs with 7+ rating
