Never had a white hot but Genny cream is my favorite beer. Hard to find it in Las Vegas.
You can get both kinds of hot dogs (reds and whites or, as they are also known, Texas and Porkers) shipped to you from the "New York Style Deli. If there's a Wegman's in your area you could try them too. Just make sure you get the pop-opens and not the skinless. The skinless suck.
Quote: billryanGenny was one of the sponsors of my college rugby club. Loved it on tap, but have not had it in at least thirty years.
Lee's liquor caries it in can but I would also prefer a draft.
Burger was but fries were cold and gross.Quote: billryanWas the food hot when you got it? I had one bad experience with a delivery service in Vegas and never tried them again.
Wait, isn't the "after" the same as their old (70's-80's) logo?Quote: KeeneoneMaybe a logo brand redesign will improve the flavor of their burgers...

I believe you are correct.
I like "retro" looks, like the McDonald's near the Stratosphere.

There are lots of different looks of McDonald's in the US:

you make yourself. Grind your own
sirloin burger, cook it rare/medium
rare. Gruyere cheese, carmelized
onions, bacon, tomato, green leaf
lettuce, lots of garlic mayo and dijon
and butter on the buns. Some even
put on a fried egg and let the yolk run
everywhere.
Quote: VegasriderI always liked Fatburger when I lived in Vegas. None in Reno though. Red Robin has great burgers too.
There was a joint here called Fatmans
Burger Shack that was opened in
the 30's. It was always busy, best
burgers in town. In the mid 80's
there was the 'fat will kill you' scare
and they were forced go to a lean
burger. In less than a month they
lost 80% of their customers. It
took them a year to get back to
normal.

May I suggest replacing the sirloin with lamb. That's what my wife does. She also uses a horseradish mayo and leaves out the mustard. Other than that her recipe pretty much matches yours.

To me that looks disgusting.
This is what a cheeseburger should look like.

Regarding even the best burgers, ( your personal preference ) , some are less messy for eating on the go , but for the most part they all result in Burger dribble on your shirt
or in your lap.
And yet.........where's the closest drive thru...

But...but...where's the bacon? Where's the BBQ sauce? And only one slice of cheese?
I assume by the color that that's cheddar and not American cheese - you have that going for it.
It adds to the taste and makes the burger a little more healthy
I don't like all that lean hamburger meat, it sucks. Sometimes they run out of the 72% and the only option is 85% so i just skip it.Quote: EvenBobThere was a joint here called Fatmans

That looks horrible, just eat some meatloaf instead.Quote: ThatDonGuyQuote: DRichThis is what a cheeseburger should look like.

the cheeses looks oily, therefore, I would also assume its cheddar.
Both of your suggestions look bad. I don't know when they started to put eggs on everything but it's ridiculous to put an egg on a hamburger. It's just some dumb trend /fad all the cooking shows get all wet over.Quote: DRichQuote: EvenBobNo burger can compare to the one
