Bank account IBAN number, sort code and account number can be used to set up a direct debit ( Say to a charity ) but equally, a scammer can create a direct debit to randomly made up account numbers without knowing the name of the account holder. I had this happen to one of my accounts where a scammer had set up a mobile phone payment direct debit against my account without ever knowing anything about me. The bank returned the money when I instructed it to under 'the direct debit guarantee'. That's in the UK. Are you willing to send the money to a trusted member/moderator now to guarantee the prize money?
For them to hold it temporally and make sure your offer is legitimate and the money is given out as promised. If you're not willing to do that then it seems like it's not a legitimate offer.
