Anyone into off-roading here? Is anyone here familiar with
Mickey Thompson Tires Baja MTZ P3? A friend recommended it to me. I will get it for my 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. Any other suggestions?

Yes, some Continental ProContact all seasons, run about $500 for the set. Yes, I said "all seasons". A Raptor is but an F-150 with a body kit; treat it like a trophy truck and you will have labor costs such that you could have afforded a trophy truck. If you don't listen (and you won't, and probably shouldn't), please return with pics and vid.

If you insist, then I run Firestone Destination M/T's. Road noise is loud enough to drown out all squeaks and rattles (which you will have mudding a street truck) save for my fire kit, which is probably still rattling out in the driveway. If you have any suspension issues, you will know within 800mi because they will be rubbed bald. If you don't, then the lifetime seems decent on the hard pack. They are dogs#$% in the snow, but that could be more a personality flaw as opposed to design issue.

I will say that I spent a lot of time towing toys all over my yard, in conditions that sounded like the stirring of the world's biggest vat of mac and cheese. It was soggy indeed, and all the squelching sounded like a full yard rehab was coming in spring. But whether a 1,700lb race car or 10,000lb truck and trailer, I dug up nothing. Plenty of "bite marks", but didn't spin a single tire once. That job in those conditions, they have my vote.

Some of my coworkers raced in the Baja 1000 last weekend. They finished in the top 20 but not a good showing for them. I only bring this up because they have big tires on their trucks.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Start tossin' sponsorship, me and petro will get it done. Need about $8k and someone help me cut the roof off to get the La-Z-Boy into the passenger side. Can't guarantee a podium, but I promise it'll be a spectacle =)

I never understand how a new person comes to a gambling forum and asks weird questions like tires. I dont go to the ford forum and ask questions about my Saturn
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed. I AM NOT PART OF GWAE RADIO SHOW
